I nod, thanking her. I try to ignore her anxious manner and then head to get my dog and wander around the library, reading through old books and newspaper clippings to make sure I didn't miss anything

There is a seemingly only increase in the pace, but eventually the footsteps grow quieter. Bounding. leaping...

flying.

And the branches sway, yet no sound comes from the ground.
