Ember smiled at Mitch. "Good point," she said, turning to walk back to the cafeteria. She looked up at the sky and said "Horse," absentmindedly.

Orion laughed. "There were other boys at the circus though, weren't there?" he asked. He rummaged around in his bag and pulled out a sketch he did of his sister. She looked like him except with long blue hair in a braid. "That's my sister," he said. "Do you have any pictures of you sisters?" he asked.

"Yep! I wouldn't recognize her though 'cause I haven't met her yet," Saffy said. "Here, we can take the elevator down," she said, turning to go to the elevator.

"Yes, the king was an ice dragon," Kanin said. "With a heart of ice to go along with it," muttered Alice. "Where do you hail from, llandere?" asked Kanin, ignoring his sister's pun/insult/complaint. He really didn't know what to call it.

Mitch looked at her then followed her gaze up to look at the stars. "Where?" He asked bumping his foot on a rock making him stumble a little to where he lightly bumped into Ember. "Are you okay?" He asked nervously looking at her hoping she wasn't mad.

Alderic shook his head clearing his throat around his food. "Nope. The other men in the circus liked to jostle me around a bit and they were basically the only other dudes there besides my dad." Alderic looked at the drawing licking his fingers. "Nice drawing." He said in between licking fingers. "And I have one of the whole circus next to my bed." He said going back to his food.

Phinesa nodded. "Yeah. Well, I don't know who she is either but there are a few rumors about some odd things about her." She said pushing the button before Saffy could. "They keep saying how she's crazy and doesn't sleep." She said waiting for the elevator.

Ilandere nodded at the new information to show she had heard and understood. "I came from a small back wood village..." She said trying to stay calm. "And before that I was staying with my foster father, a knight in the court of a king." She said quickly hoping it would help.

Ember stumbled sideways a bit, bu then straightened. "I'm fine. That cloud, it looks like a horse," she said pointing to a cloud near the setting sun. She lowered her hand. "Sorry, it's a bit childish, isn't it..." she said, turning to look at the ground.

"Could I see it, once we get back to the dorm?" Orion asked. He took a piece of bread from the pile and began eating it slowly.

"That's stupid. I'm not gonna judge someone on rumors, even if they are true," Saffy declared. She really hoped llandere would want to be friends with her. "Should we go look for llandere, or go to your room?" asked Saffy, tapping one foot.

Alice noticed llandere's discomfort. "Hmph, we know all about court life, no need to discuss it further. I hated it there anyway," she snorted with contempt, hoping she had distracted llandere from whatever was bothering her. Kanin suddenly ducked and fell to the floor, prompting Alice to laugh at him. Kanin crossed his arms and tried to look dignified from his position on the floor. "That's were Chesire ran off to!" Alice said, as a purple cat appeared on Kanin's head looking very pleased with itself.

Mitch sighed and smiled as he looked at the clouds. He heard her speak again and looked over at her. "No. Not even in the least bit..." He said smiling sweetly. He shrugged his bags on his shoulders a bit, as he did he felt his hand brush Ember's. Her's felt so warm to him because his hands were still really cold from using his magic so specifically.

Alderic nodded as he shoved the last of his food in his mouth. "Well, it's really starting to get dark. You two watch out for Ember and Mitch to get back for their food. I'm gonna go start setting up." He said taking his plate and the one A'ine had stopped touching leaving only a little on it. He grabbed the bags he had with him also.

A'ine smiled at Alderic. "Thanks for dinner." She said smiling as he left. Ember twisted to look only at Orion. "Sooo, Alderic made you talk hunn?" She said teasing him a little.

Phinesa nodded. "I just like to think about them. You never know how someone might react to you if you said it to them..." She said sighing impatiently. "So, wanna help me think about the other ones?" She asked with a shrug.

Ilandere gasped a little as Kanin fell. "Are you unharmed?" She asked glad for the minor distraction from the thoughts of her past. It hadn't been all the courts she had sat in on when she was younger, or even all of the older men there flirting with her. It had been the thought of Father himself.

"My sister and I used to play that all the time," EMber said wistfully, glad Mitch hadn't thought it was childish. "You're hands are really cold. Are you okay?" Ember asked when he felt Mitch's hand brush her's. She blushed when she realized she wanted to hold his hand. (*Beatles song starts playing in my head*)

Orion blushed. "And everyone knows," he says, rolling his eyes and smiling.

(Sorry, I'm really confused. Is Phinesa talking about the rumors?)

Alice picked the purple cat off Kanin's head and hugged it to her chest, allowing Kanin to stand up. "I am unharmed, but thank you for your concern. This happens on a daily basis," Kanin said, shaking his head.

Mitch smiled. "That must have been fun..." He said quietly. He loved her smile. "I'm fine. Just haven't gotten them warmed up yet." He said rubbing his hand on his leg hoping to warm it up a bit. Mitch stopped and looked at her hood. He didn't like how she thought she had to hide. He slowly moved his hand over her wrist to where their palms where facing each other. "Do you mind? You hand feels so warm and soft..." He said putting his fingers around her hand, blushing a little himself but he was able to keep it down a bit by sending cold air to his heated cheeks.

A'ine tilted her head. "Well, just your roommate and the mind reader for all you know." She said elbowing him. "True Mitch figured it out really quickly and I told Ember, but that's still not EVERYONE." She said looking around. She thought she felt a little of Jora's shy mind but didn't see her and there were just too many people.

Ilandere shook her head smiling a little. "Is this a friend of your's" She asked not knowing if the cat was mearly a pet.

Ember tensed, freezing in surprise. She looked down at Mitch's hand, almost in disbelief. She tightened her hand around his, and looked away, blushing. "Yeah, it was fun...." she said, smiling at the ground. She was more happy about it than she'd like to admit.

"I doubt she likes me back though. The last time I saw her, I made her run off," Orion said. He didn't really mind that A'ine knew. After all, it wasn't like he was that embarrassed.

Saffy cocked her head. "What do you mean exactly?" she asked. She reall didn't want anything to do dwith rumors.

"Yep! This is Chesire. She prefers her cat form though," Alice said, putting the cat back down, who then promptly jumped on top of Kanin's head again.

Mitch smile widened as her hand tightened around his. He looked at the hood around her head as she looked away from him. "I've been meaning to ask why you always have your hood up...Is it because you got tired of boys telling you how beautiful you are and the endless flirting?" He teased her a little smiling at his own joke.

A'ine tilted her head then burst out laughing. She tilted her head back as she closed her eyes laughing loudly. She looked back at him wiping the few tears off her eyes. "I could tell you but I have a code of not telling the people who like people how the other feels about them." She said. "That was confusing..." She whispered to herself. "I mean I don't confirm for people that someone likes them." She said smiling at him.

Phinesa shrugged. "I mean do you want to hear more about your roommate? You haven't met her yet." She said as the doors opened and she got on.

Ilandere covered her mouth as she quietly chuckled a little. "Nice to met you as well Chesire." She said to the cat. "It must be nice to have siblings and friends." She said trying to not sound pathetic.

Ember smiled, and shook her head. "No. I-I...I'm shy, I guess," she said. She paused, stopping walking and tilting her head up to look at the sky again. It was too dark to see any clouds, but the stars were out now. She reached into her jacket pocket with her free hand and pulled out a purple crystal on a black string.

"You just want to make it hard on me, don't you?" Orion said jokingly. He returned to his food before looking up. "Do you like anyone?" he asked, something that he thought he knew the answer to.

"Yes, I suppose I would," Saffy said cautiously, stepping into the elevator. She was worried they would all be bad rumors. She was sure the bad ones wouldn't be true. And if they were, she still wanted to be friends with her roommate.

Cheshire leapt onto llandere's head and promptly made herself comfortable,flicking her tail lazily. Kanin smiled. "I apologize for Cheshire," he said, to which the cat hissed at him. Alice crossed her arms. "Don't you know what it's like to have friends yourself?" she asked.

Mitch smiled. He tilted his head and looked at her when she stopped. "What are you doing?" He asked softly. He was wondering what was up with her. He couldn't help but let his other hand go up and touch the edge of her hood pushing it back.

A'ine chuckle a little. "Hey! I did the same thing to Jora so cool it." She said a little defensively. She looked up at him tilted her head. "No. Nobody that I like... at least like that." She said taking another sip of her soda. "This stuff is great!" She said.

Jora got up and waved at the girls. She knew Alderic had to be setting up by now and wanted to see if he'd let her help. She glanced back at the table where Orion and A'ine were sitting. 'I ate and am going to go help Alderic please don't look around for me...' She sent over worried.

A'ine glanced over at where Jora had been with her eyes and smiled. This was going to be fun.

Phinesa sighed. "Well, she's a dragon and everyone says they haven't seen her eat in the two days she's been here and that she's a little crazy but who isn't?" She shruged smiling.

Ilandere tensed as the cat leaped onto her head. "It's quite alright..." She said lifting her hands to get the cat off as she answered the other question. "There were not very many children in my home town." She said taking the cat into her arms. Her hair shifted as her eyes widened as her scar became visable.
