Shade then did something weird, he started trying to sing. It sounded ... horrible. Like a dying animal. He couldn't sing.

The baby seemed to just try and sing, over and over. As if that would get his sister back to tell him to shut up. It didn't. And... He didn't shut up.

Wow.

The baby kept screeching, until he stopped and panted. He panted a minute, until he cried out a battle like cry and then ... rushed off into the brush after his sister and into the unknown. Like an idiot.
