(I feel so bad for Jason)

The tunnel fell away, and suddenly they stood on a stone bridge across a vast precipice, jagged rocks spearing up from the bottom. Around them, on the walls and ceiling, hanging precariously close to the bridge, massive iron gears turned and creaked, making the ground vibrate. The closest gears were easily three times their height; some were even larger. It was like being inside a giant clock, and the noise was deafening.

There was a tug on Jason's arm, the lead pack rat point across the bridge, his jabbering lost in the grinding noise of the room. They had taken him as far as they could go. Now the last part of the trek would be on his own.

(Sorry.)
Jason gazed at the place for a moment then nodded to the lead packrat. "Thank you." He said, then turned to his tail and removed shards of glass that turned to shards that where shiny like pearls and just as precious. He offered them to the packrats.

(You're not the one that should be apologizing, I'm the one who made Ash's horrible fate)

The packrats took the shards but didn't leave just yet. The leader beckoned to his pack rats, chattering at them. Two waddled forward, reaching back for some item on their humps.
The first pack rat drew out a long sheath with a familiar hilt, gleaming blue-black in the darkness. He handed it over solemnly.

They chattered at him and still didn't move, and the leader pointed at the second, smaller packrat who'd approached. He blinked and reached back, drawing forward a slightly battered bow and a pale arrow.

The packrat held up the Witchwood arrow, slimy and covered with oil, but otherwise intact. They could have given it to their king, but they hadn't, saving it for him all this time. The arrow pulsed, still alive and deadly.

(Yeah, but I'm making Jason's reaction a little dramatic.Lol. But seriously, the dragons I've made actually do shatter from the sorrow of the soul.)

His rich purple eyes widened and he looked to them with shock. He carefully wrapped them for a moment into a careful embrace in his wings. "Thank you...thank you so much." He said softly, hoping they understood him. He released them and thankfully took the arrow and bow. He looked at the sheath and his heart ached, recognizing it. He took it in shaking talons, holding back cracks that subtly started at the base of his spine.
(Lol,an edit. I'm crying over this rp. XD)

(xD That's sad...I don't want Jason to shatter)

The smaller packrat blushes while the other one doesn't do much. They're both grinning from ear to ear. They jabbered at Jason and patted his wings. Then, with a sharp bark from the leader, they turned and faded into the tunnels. The small one looked back once, his eyes bright in the gloom, and then they were gone.

(He won't...or...will he?)

He watched after them, smiling faintly. He put the bow carefully around a slender graceful upper limb, putting the arrow carefully in the sheath. He looked at it and wished so badly to see it on Ash,to see him fighting with it,to go back to when he had threatened to slit his throat. To when he was healthy and safe, and when Puck was being a joker and smiling. He shook his head with a sigh and carefully put it under his wing. "This isn't just for Flasher...it's for those who've died on the way. I'm going to end this, for sure. This is for Puck, and the kind elder...and Ash." He said, then turned and marched on forward on the bridge. "This is for their home...the Nevernever."

(Aww Jason's such a good guy tho)

As he followed the walkway, which turned from stone to iron grating, through the giant maze of clockwork. He found a twisting iron staircase and followed it up to a trapdoor, which opened with a ringing bang.
Nothing. The room was empty, save for the enormous boiler ovens that glowed red and filled the air with hissing steam.

(Yeah,but~....ya' know those types of stories, the good ones always die.)

He cringed a little at the boiler ovens, pulling himself up gracefully through the trap door. He slithered carefully to the side, his slender and elegant talons not making one sound as he moved. He sniffed the air to check for anyone near by,frills in tight and tail close. He still looked regal as ever.

(True. But everyone's good has already basically died xD)

Clanking footsteps could be heard. Several figures entered the room, short and stocky and dressed in bulky canvas suits like firemen. They wore breathing apparatus that covered their entire faces, a pair of tubes snaking from the mouth to some kind of tank on their back. They stomped among the boilers, pinging on them with wrenches, checking the numerous pipes and valves. A large ring of keys dangled from each of their belts, jingling as they moved

(Yeah. I guess your right. XD)

Jason quickly forced his partial glass body to shift to camouflage, slinking out of their way on skilled talons that seemed to know how to sneak and stalk. He lowered his eye lids to hide his regal purple eyes, but they where faint slits as he watched the keys jingle. 'Hm...' He thought. 'maybe...just maybe...if I can silently slit throats in the middle of an enemy encampment in open day light.Maybe I could snatch some keys.'
