Mitch smiled walking toward the counter. "After you Ember." He said gesturing to the ordering station. standing next to it digging in his pockets for some money to pay for dinner. He smiled at Ember waiting for her to order.

A'ine almost laughed from Ember's reaction. 'He sees it more like you're the powerful princess who he has to win over.' She sent turning back to the boys. "Yeah. I'm sure they have music sheets somewhere. So, what's in the bags Alderic?" She asked

Alderic looked at A'ine smiling. "Marshmallows, gramcrackers, chocolate and some blankets and roasting supplies." He looked over at Mitch and Ember ordering food. "Are you hungry enough for another round of Alderic's top picks?" He asked her and she shrugged. "Sure." She said smiling.

Jora took her food and turned walking away quickly as she saw Mitch and Ember approaching. She looked around and swallowed. She didn't really want to go over to talk to Orion yet. She looked around for an empty table but didn't see any. She spotted Kali eating with her sisters and walked over smiling.

Phinesa smiled. "Okay! That sounds cool!" She said standing and grabbing the plate. "Well let's go see if she's even in the room." She said starting to walk/skip over to the main doors.

Ember shook her head, smiling at what A'ine said. "Um, may I have the enchiladas?" Ember asked quietly. The lady behind the counter glanced over at her. "What did you say?" Ember realized she her voice was too soft to be heard over the din of the cafeteria. "May I have the enchiladas?" she said louder. The lady nodded, and Ember sighed with relief.

"I guess I'll get my food too. Alderic, I'm open to suggestions!" Orion said, grinning. He stood up and walked over to the line for food,

Saffy grinned a grin that would rival that of the chesire cat (More Alice references XD) and put her plate in the tray for dirty dishes before sprinting to catch up with Phinesa. Once she reached the main doors, she threw them both of them open, and held one side open for Phinesa.

Kanin followed his sister into the cafeteria. He felt a bit out of place because their clothes were so old fashioned, but he found them comfortable and he had never worn anything 'modern' before. He flicked one of his ears in discomfort at the amount of noise in the cafeteria.

Alice stalked into the cafeteria like she owned the place. She smoothed the front of her dress and whirled to face Kanin. "Hey Kanin! You think they have any food from back home?" she asked, longing for the taste of home. "I doubt it. The cuisine where we come from is very different," replied Kanin, prompting Alice to scowl. "Why are you still talking like that?! We're not at the court anymore," she said, turning to walk towards the line. Kanin walked faster to keep up with her. "It's hard to break out of the habit," he said quietly, knowing his sister could hear him.

Mitch smiled. He would've repeated it if she hadn't. "Add a rice bowl to that and a couple of iced teas." He said loudly. "Please Ember, 'let the knight serve the fair maiden' for just once." He said smiling as he looked into her eyes.

Alderic chuckled. "Here, give me five bucks and I'll get you something." Alderic said holding a hand out toward his new friend. "I'd like it if more people watched the seats. Looks like a few other groups are wanting to take a table as soon as it looks like everyone left." He said.

A'ine suddenly realized something. Alderic had gotten her lunch and didn't ask her for any money. 'Alderic, how much did you pay for my lunch?' She sent to him a little embarrassed to even think of letting Orion know she just noticed it. 'It really wasn't that much. This is my turf so I bought you some food.' He sent back.

Phinesa faked a curtsy to Saffy and walked out into the dimming light. "So where's your room?" SHe asked smiling.

Ilandere was getting ready to leave the mess hall, holding up her long black dress skirt as she walked. She was looking ahead of her, her purple hair hiding her scar. Someone bumped into her making her stumble forward into two kids standing in line for food. "I apologize." She said straightening up before realizing that they too where wearing more classic clothing.

Ember crossed her arms and turned her back to him, partly to hide a small smile. "Fine," she said, walking down the counter to wait for their order to be ready.

Orion handed Alderic five bucks. "I trust you to get something good!" he said, sliding back into a chair. He turned to scan the cafeteria again, spotting Ember and Mitch finishing up their orders. He turned back to A'ine. "So are you prepared for another ten course meal?" he asked her, winking at Alderic.

Alice scowled. "Watch where you're go-" Kanin stepped in. "It's perfectly alright," he said, shooting a warning glance at his sister. Alice sighed and turned her head to the side, but kept quiet. Kanin turned back to the girl who had run into them. "I'm Kanin, and that's-" Alice cut him off, "I'm Alice," she said, thrusting her hand toward llandere. "-Alice, my sister," finished Kanin with a sigh.

Saffy turned down the hall. "You'll see...Race you!" she yelled streaking off and out the main doors, turning in the direction of the girls' dormitory.

Mitch sighed. He really wished she would quit trying to hide. He paid for the food and walked over to wait with Ember. "Why do you keep hiding? Are you scared of something?" He asked going into full friend mode to try and get a fix on her.

Alderic did a sweeping bow. "I accept the challenge readily." He said zooming off to beat the next wave of students to the counter.

A'ine shrugged. "I don't know." She said then sighed a little. "I also didn't know you only got free breakfast..." She said frowning a little.

Ilandere crutsied slightly to them. "I am Ilandere, a dragon." She said formally. "I must express my gratitude for your patience with me. I tend to be clumsy at times." She said smiling so lightly it almost looked like she wasn't at all.

Phinesa laughed as she started running past Saffy. "I told you! Sytars are faster than humans!" She said happily running even further ahead.

Jora smiled at the triplets. "May I sit here?" She asked them. "I don't see anyone sitting there." Kaya said with a kind smile. "Hi Kali. do I look okay?" She asked the mute girl before sitting down. Kali nodded violently.

Ember turned to look at him out of the corner of her eye. Suddenly she was filled with someone else's anger. 'Not now.' She did not need someone else's emotions at the moment. She usually didn't mind it, not when she was alone. Plus, it did ease the emotions of whoever's emotions she was feeling. But she still hadn't learned to control it. She hadn't really needed to. She could just go shut the door to her room, or if she was scared, she could go to her younger sister. "Shut up!" she yelled at Mitch, trying to keep herself from launching at him. Especially since Ember wasn't mad at him, it was just these someone else's emotions taking over. Since she wasn't completely out of control yet, she managed to wheel around, throwing her bag on the ground as she ran out of the cafeteria.

"I tried to pay her back... So much for being a gentleman. I'll find a way to pay her back," Orion said, smiling sheepishly as he leaned back in his chair.

Kanin placed one hand behind his back, and another on his stomach, bowing at the waist. "It's a pleasure to meet you," he said, straightening and smiling softly back at llandere. "I am a white rabbit, and my sister is a blue rabbit. We hail from the northern kingdoms," he said. Alice rolled her eyes, dropping into a clumsy, fast curtsy. "Seriously Kanin, we're not at the palace anymore. Talk like a normal person!" she said. Kanin turned his head toward her. "I apologize, but evidently, I do not adapt to our new environment as well as you do," he said.

Saffy ran as fast as she could, trying to keep up with Phinesa. Then she grinned, and stopped running once they passed through the doors of the dorm. She stood bouncing on her toes as she waited for Phinesa to realize she had stopped running.

Mitch watched Ember as her face grew angry. He was about to say something else when she yelled at him to 'shut up' and ran out of the cafeteria. He picked up her bag and looked behind him to see Alderic looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Could you get our food?" He asked and before Alderic nodded all the way he dashed after Ember. He was fairly certain she didn't mean it and it was just like what had happened in the hall that morning. He didn't want her to be alone if she was angry, he knew too well what angry people did when they were only by themselves.

A'ine tilted her head. "What are you tal-" She got cut off when she felt strong anger and stood up when she realized it had been Ember. She looked over to where she and Mitch were standing and saw her run away. "Kelp..." She muttered aloud.

Ilandere watched as Kanin formally introduced them. "I beg pardon Alice, however I do not understand what you mean by a normal person. Your brother only speaks how he was taught to and should not have to change it simply because he lives somewhere else." She said with a voice sounding of nobility.

Phinesa kept running her hooves clacking on the floor she stopped at the end of the hall where her room was before looking back and chuckling. She walked back over to Saffy. "When were you planning to tell me you stopped?"

Ember dashed outside, not knowing where she was going, just wanting to get away before she took her anger out on someone else. She was able to transfer some of the anger into her running, but it not much. She finally reached the forest on the other side of the lake and collapsed on the ground in the forest. She sat up, and the rage she had kept pent up was finally released. She began to hit the tree next to her, not really caring that it looked stupid, or that her fists were hurting. She was just glad she wasn't hitting a person.

Orion followed A'ine's gaze. "Shoot..." he muttered. "Should we.....?" he trailed off, assuming A'ine would catch the gist of what he was saying.

Alice glared at her, but she didn't say anything since she knew llandere was right. Plus she didn't like to insult her brother, not real insults anyway. Luckily, Kanin was good at understanding the hidden meanings of her insults. "Alice was simply asking me why I continue speaking so formally when I am free to speak as I please. She did not mean it as an insult," Kanin explained, catching his sister's eye to make sure he was correct. Alice didn't say anything, so he knew he had been right.

"Serves you right for running so far ahead! We're going to my room first, remember? Saffy said. "And I don't think you know where my room is, do you?" Saffy said with a smirk.

Mitch followed keeping Ember in view. He could feel his guitar bumping around behind him but wanted to make sure Ember was alright. He slowed a little as she entered the forest, tired and wanting to think of something before he approached her. He went into the trees looking all around. He heard her pounding a tree.... A little too hard for his liking. He walked up behind her staying a few feet away. "Ember..." He said quietly. "Please you're going to hurt yourself." He said taking one more step forward getting just a little closer.

A'ine shook her head slowly. "Mitch can handle it..." She looked over back at the counter where Alderic was trying to figure out how to carry the two trays of food and all the drinks. "However, we should go help Alderic. Looks like he's got a little too much." She said walking towards the red headed teen.

Ilandere nodded in understanding. "Ah yes. I see, some do think it is a bother to speak as such." She said before looking over at Alice again. "I apologize once again, Alice. I was too quick to my conclusion." She said curtsying slightly again.

Phinesa held up her pointer finger. "Uhhhh.... No." She said looking away. "It's kind of hard to stop running on slick halls especially with these." She said holding up one of her goat like legs pointing at the hooves.
