Daire soon catches up to him, casually walking alongside him and sipping his strawberry mocha.


She happily jobs over to Chelsea, offring her a big smile.

Chelsea smiles back, "How was practice? How did you do today in class? Anything interesting?"



Drake doesn't say a word to Daire before he gets to the beach near his house. He hands Daire a scraper and points to the sailboat, "Would you mind scraping off the barnacles while I check on my mom?"

"Not that interesting." She shrugs with a smile. "One of the usual members is gone, apparently, and people couldn't seem to stop talking about that, but nothing of real interest."


He shrugs and nods, heading to the boat.

Drake goes in to check on his mother who is doing fine. After about ten minutes he comes back out and helps Daire, "So what did you want to talk about? You normally don't follow me."



Chelsea nods once, "Okay. Do you have plans tonight?"

"You smelled like flowers this morning."



She shakes her head.

"So," Drake asks.



"Want to help me unravel a mystery?"

"Which is weird, I guess. Chelsea was worried about it."


"Sure!" She smiles.

"I don't know if you know Drake Waverider but he came in smelling of flowers not from around here instead of the sea scent he normally has. I'm trying to figure out where he was to smell like that. Want to help?"



Drake shakes his head, "Chelsea knows I can take care of myself and has never even paid me the slightest attention until lately."

"I haven't heard of him before."



He shrugs. "She made a pretty big deal about it."

Drake shakes his head again, "You didn't tell her I'm a Selkie did you?"


"He's a resident who lives outside the village on the beach with his mother. He tends to keep to himself but Drake is also really nice once you get to know him. He's also a sailor who frequently goes out to sail on the ocean so there is no reason for him to smell of foreign flowers," Chelsea tells Rim what she knows about Drake.
