"I don't know. We all think differently. For all we know this person could have some kind of mental issue..." with that he stopped talking and walked back to Melissa. He grabbed her arm and held positioned it how it would be if it weren't bit off. He transformed and her arm slowly began to heal itself.

Kody attempted to transfer more energy into you but didn't have much left to give because of the amount he sent through earlier. He held your head up above the ground pleading that you open your eyes and survive.

I suddenly draw in a deep breath when he lifts my head up. After a few of these, my eyes flutter open slightly and I mumble, "I think I cracked a rib in my fall... you saved my life, Kody. Thank you." I then reclose my eyes, too tired to keep them open.

"Do you think she'll be okay?"

You felt yourself being lifted before falling asleep. When you woke up you were back in the tree. You had bandages around your stomach to help with your ribs. You spotted Kody sitting in a dark corner with his head in his lap. Every couple seconds you noticed his body shudder or maybe he was shivering but either way something was off.

"Hey," I mutter, "thanks again. But... are you okay?" I attempt to sit up, but wince and go back to my original position.

"Probably I mean now she's completely healed... just weak and tired." he looked back at Melissa who was now breathing normally and didn't look to be in excruciating pain like before.

"I'm fine." his voice was kind of husky as he said it. He clears his throat, wipes his face off on his sleeve then walks over and sits down beside you, "You need some rest try not to move around to much though."

"Yeah... note to self, don't try to transform again. Also, who wins the competition?" I wheeze something close to a laugh. "Sorry I've been almost dying so much lately... what, twice in one day? But seriously, are you sure you're fine?"

His frown suddenly vanished, "All fine!" he turned to you and had the biggest smile on his face, "You almost died... and besides you were the last one to shift during the competition so I think that makes you the winner."
