(Sorry it took so long. I've been really busy.)
Damage check lv 0 failed.
It was a messy shot.
The arrow flew wide and hit the buck in the hind left leg, causing it to start running. However was very difficult, and before it got too far the arrow snagged on a log as it tried to leap over. Because the arrow had gone mostly through the leg, it yanked against the deer and caused it to trip. It fell, sprawling on the ground.
I run to the Buck

You head a little East, but the ground is even more sloped here. It looks like it only continues downhill.

I follow the way, constantly looking around for a place to stop and make camp.
As you try to get close it lashes out and you back away before it kicks you. It manages to scramble to it's feet and tries to escape by running into the forest.
I follow it knowing that it will tire eventually
