Mathias noticed this and looked at her. "You got nothing to worry about," he started when a greyish purple echidna walked up to them. Darker stripes ran across his fur. Asher went over to him and they talked in low voices. Mathias swallowed hard.

Mathias lowered his head and watched. Asher jerked his head and raised his voice, but over the chatter of the camp, they couldn't hear him. The purple echidna looked flustered for a moment, then Asher calmed down. "That can't be a good sign..." Mathias whispered.
