He hears the doors open on the far side of the room. Followed by the sound of struggles and the clinking of ariallite chains.

he looked over.

Two of the assistants are dragging in a basilisk, heavy restrained and struggling against them. She's muzzled and there's a cap over her venomous tail, and her hands and feet are chained together so she can't claw anyone. Her hair is long and messy, dark blue against her pale face. Her eyes are a pale tan, and her scales are mottled black and gold. Her coarse fur is a deep russet, striped with giant black stripes. She's nearly 8 feet tall, with an increasingly imposing 10-foot long tail.

He grinned as his tail swung dangerously.

They shove the chained basilisk into the circle, despite her incessant struggles. The trainer grabs her by the hair and shoves her down, forcing her to her knees.

He gazes around the circle. "How many of you know how to incapacitate a basilisk?"

2 hands go up. A few others half-raise their hand, uncertain.

he watched, curious.

He calmly lets go of her, and points to one of the soldiers who raised their hand. "Yes?"


"An aerial strike to the neck. That way you can avoid the tail."

The trainer shakes his head. "Close, but not quite. That's for wyverns."

The other person lowers their hand at that.

he raised his hand.

He points to him. "Yes?"

*strike from the side. that way, they cant easily reach you with the tail or any weapons at their front. then, just remove the tail after a suprise attack from the side, possibly from cutting and blugeoning. then, just avoid the claws when fighting and your golden.*
