He cupped Pucks' cheek gently, his other arm coming behind him and pulling him closer. His wings pressed to the ground to keep balanced, tail laying on the ground.

The fire didn't burn, because Shadow didn't let it burn him. Without the scorching sensation of the heat, it was soft and light, smooth and flowing.
