"You can't eat me. I am poisonous from head to toe. And I don't think you'd want to die today from something as stupid as food poisoning."

Hisses went around the tribe; several goblins bared their teeth at her and snarled.

Many of the goblins were backing away now, but the chief stood firm. "Shut up, you sniveling lot!" he snarled at the nervous goblins. Giving Lia a sour look, he spat on the ground. "So, we cant eat ya." He sounded unimpressed. "Pity, that is. But dont think thatll save ya, girl. If yer so deadly, Ill just kill ya now, except Ill bleed ya slow, so yer poison blood wont hurt me. Then Ill skin ya and hang yer hide on me door, and use yer bones fer arrowheads. As me grandmother always said, waste not."


Hmm...just a suggestion...but maybe she could send them on a goose chase for something that can 'purify' her blood?

Oooo yeah good idea!

"Well there is one way you can 'purify' my blood to not have a fatal side effect." She admitted.

Well...I just didn't want her to get eaten xD

The goblin chief smiled. "I knew youd see it my way," he gloated. Turning to his minions, he puffed out his chest. "See there, dogs? Yer chief is still lookin out fer ya! We feast tonight!"

A raucous cheer went up, and the chief turned to Amelia again, leveling his sword at her face. "So then, girl. Whats yer secret?"

Yeah and I couldn't think if anything to save her xD

"There is a rare flower. A flower that shines at night, it is the color of twilight and death. Find this plant and you will clear the poison in my blood."

Well it's good that I said something then xD

"Huh," the chief grunted, and turned to the waiting tribe. "All right, louts, you heard it! I want that flower back here before dawn! Anyone who dont search, dont eat! Now, get movin."

The tribe scattered. Hissing, jabbering, and cursing at one another, they vanished into the forest until only one guard remained, leaning on a crooked spear.

The chief eyed her warily and pointed his sword through the bars.

"Dont think ya can trick me by givin me a lie," he threatened. "I plan to cut off yer finger, toss it in the stew, an have one of me mates taste it. If he dies, or melts into a puddle, it be a long, slow death fer you. Understand?"

"Then that'd be one less to find that flower. It is rare so if I were you I'd keep as many of your tribe to find that flower. 1 in 1000. One will find that flower out of a thousand, keep that in mind."

The chief spat and looked around the near-deserted campsite. "Bah, none of them dogs will ever find it," he muttered, scratching his ear. "Theyd probably eat it or crush it. Arg, Id better find it myself. Bugrat!"

A few yards away, the lone guard snapped to attention. "Chief?"

"Keep an eye on our dinner," the chief ordered, sheathing his sword. "If it tries to escape, cut off its feet."

"You got it, chief."

"Im goin huntin." The chief shot Amelia one last warning glare, then bounded off into the undergrowth.

"That was clever," Grimalkin murmured, sounding reluctantly impressed.

She nodded slightly as in 'Thanks'
'I actually did that...' She was surprised herself.
