A'ine couldn't help but grin. 'Well, your not thinking is pretty loud' She sent to her friend as they walked down the tall set of stairs toward the bottom floor of the girl's dorms.

Alderic smiled. "Well, I'm thinking tomorrow morning would be a better time, we actually should be getting to dinner." He said to his friend putting his sword away. "And I think the buffer would be a great idea, I'd rather avoid Jora burning me to the ground if I hurt you." He said teasingly.

Phinesa tilted her head. "No... I think tomorrow would be better, I sound whinning when I ask people for stuff after I eat. I'll ask her before class starts tomorrow." She said as she decisively took a sesame seed ball off of Saffy's plate eating it pointedly.

Kali walked down the hall with her sisters to go to dinner. They had opted for an extra class so they had been in a classroom after everyone else wasn't. She stopped her sisters as she heard something. It turned out to be a guitar. The three looked between themselves and ran down the hall toward the music.

Mitch paused for a bit thinking of what to play. He tapped his thumb on the neck of his guitar thinking. He looked up to see triplets looking at him expectantly. "Could you please play some more?" One of them asked as another nodded. "Sure. What would you like to hear?" He asked and two of them whispered to each other. "You wouldn't happen to know 'Easier as Us' by Michel McEachern?" The other one asked shyly. Mitch smiled and started playing the song.

Ember crossed her arms and stared intently at the wall. Shut up. She thought to A'ine, in a monotone voice. She wasn't mad at A'ine. A'ine's teasing was obviously friendly, but Ember didn't know how to tease her back.

Orion nodded, relaxed, and slid his sword back in it's sheath. "And what's with the reference at the end there?" he asked, raising one eyebrow. "Besides, your a flaming pegasus, it wouldn't matter."

Saffy glared at her, and snatched another sesame ball, eating it in a very 'proper' manner which consisted of sticking out her pinky and sticking her nose in the air. "Want me to come?" she asked, keeping up her 'prim and proper' act.

A'ine smiled and grabbed Ember's elbow. "Aw, come on. We're the only ones who know." She said tugging her down the stairs. 'And I promise to keep it that way. I'll never tell anyone.' She said smiling broader as they walked outside toward the school.

Alderic shrugged. "I'm more like 'fire resistant' in human form. And I know she's got more power than I do." He pushed the box back under his bed. "And you are he first friend ever so I'm thinking that even if she didn't want to... well you know." He said rubbing the back of his neck smiling nervously.

Phinesa straightened up sticking her own nose in the air. "No that's quite alright. I can accomplish the task at hand, love." She said in a high up matter. She started losing composure and licked her lips trying not to laugh.

Mitch smiled as they girls started swaying a little to the beat. The first who spoke started humming quietly. She waited until Mitch rounded back to the course before she started to sing. "'Cause you and I, would be easier as us. Don't need three words just one could sum us up." She sang her voice perfectly smooth and almost angelic.

The corner of Ember's mouth turned a tiny bit upward. 'Alright, I trust you.' She relented. She realized she hadn't pulled her elbow away, like she usually would have. She shook her head, smiling a bit more.

Orion nodded. "Maybe you could help her control it," he said, grabbing his art bag and motioning to the door. "Wanna get going?"

Saffy was good at this game. "Shall I escort you to your quarters after supper on this fine evening?" she replied in a pompous voice.

A'ine chuckled a little. She pulled Ember to the main doors and opened them going in. She could hear someone playing some music and someone else singing. She wondered who it was. "Good thing too." She said aloud distracted.

"We're a couple a pair it's apparent when we touch." Mitch smiled as the shyer one took the second line. Then the two sisters sang together making a wonderful melody. "Oooh, you and I would be easier as us. Oh easier as us." Mitch wondered if the thrid would join them but she looked like she was simply enjoying their singing with her eyes closed swaying with the beat.

Alderic smile. "Yeah." He said picking up the two bags he had already packed. "That was actually what I did to cheer her up a bit. She just afraid she's going to hurt one of us because she can't control it." He said the jolted a little. "Shoot! Don't tell her I said that, I'm not sure if it was something I wasn't suppose to tell anyone." He said nervously.

Phinesa was barely keeping it together. "No, I can make it fine by myself." She said taking a sip of her water, pinky out of course. "However you may walk with me."

Jora looked in the mirror after Liz finished with the make-up. She swallowed nervously. "What do you think?" Liz asked her happily. Something about her made Jora feel the need to be honest. "I didn't think I could look so... Pretty." She said in a quiet whisper. Liz seemed happy with herself as she tilted her head. "What?! You were pretty before I started! I just added a more modern look to it." She said happily.

Ember looked around for who was singing, her heart sank. It was Mitch and three other girls, singing a love song. She had told herself not to be too disappointed if Mitch liked someone else, but a unfamiliar feeling crept through her. Right, That was it. Jealousy. She balled her fists inside her hoodie sleeves. Of course he doesn't like you that way. You do sing horribly, and you barely talk to him. Would you shut up?! Ember snapped at her mental voice. It's true! It replied in a sing song tone. Ember just didn't reply, she couldn't really argue. She began to walk faster, looking at the ground, her hair hiding her face.

"I figured that out. But I doubt she could hurt me or you all that badly. I could just throw water on myself. Besides, if she does, I don't want to make a big deal out of it. She'd feel less confident than ever. Let's just try to keep on her good side." Orion opened the door as he spoke and stepped out into the hall.

"I would love to accompany you. And which floor are your quarters located?" Saffy asked, one pinky out, as she began to eat another sesame seed ball. THen she grabbed her quill pen from her bag and stuck it in her barret, so she had a feather sticking out of her head like those fancy hats. SHe pursed her lips, and raised her eyebrows at Phinesa, trying to get her to break. She could tell Phinesa would lose it soon.

A'ine froze from all the things she could feel from Ember. She looked and saw Mitch playing his guitar with some girls singing. She bit her lip and ran to catch up to Ember. 'I don't think this is what you think it is...' She sent trying to make it look like everything was fine by smiling and standing in between Mitch and Ember.

Mitch saw A'ine and Ember walking by quickly. It seemed weird to him that they didn't say hi at least. He stood up and put his guitar down. "One second." He said to the three girls who looked a little disappointed that he was leaving. He walked over to Ember and A'ine. "Hey is everything okay?" He asked them. A'ine turned around smiling still. "Yeah, who are the girls who were singing?" She asked grabbing Ember's arm to stop her. "I actually don't know. They just asked me to play a song and they started singing." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "Would you... Would you like to join us?" He asked looking between Ember and A'ine.

Alderic shook his head following him out into the hall. "Yeah I guess so. Just don't try and act like it didn't hurt at all." He said trying to think everything through before he continued. "I think she'd run if she thinks she could've killed you, but if she thinks that it only hurt you a bit she'd be really apologetic." He said slowly.

Phinesa cleared her throat trying to keep from laughing. "The first floor. Saquia didn't want our hooves to wake anyone below us." She said drinking more water to keep from cracking.

Jora smiled a little her cheeks turning slightly more red then the blush on top of them. "Thanks... It's not true though." She said looking down. Liz stood up next to her. "Fine, I made you this pretty but then you have to go caving with me. I saw you rock climbing with your friend the other day. You're pretty good at it." She said smiling. Jora nodded. "Okay. I can do that."

Ember looked up, not sure whether to feel relieved yet. Either way, she didn't want to sing. "No thanks, I can't sing," she replied, trying not to look at him directly. She looked over his shoulder at the girls he had been singing with.

"Yeah, sounds good. Let's talk about something else. I doubt it will come to that," Orion said.
(*pulls out duct tape*)

Saffy grinned. She drank some of her juice and went back to her sesame seed balls. "What is the filling in thos- Argh. I don't know how to ask what kind of dumplings those are in a eloquent manner!" she said, exasperated.

Mitch tilted his head. Now he was worried, I hope nothing happened to Ember.... He thought to himself before saying. "You don't have to sing. 'The Lady of great beauty enhances any moment with just her presence.' Plus," He smiled slightly. "I doubt anyone would call what I do singing. Especially those girls, they're professionals." He looked into Ember's eyes honestly. "Please come over." He said jutting out his elbow for her to take like an escort you would see in plays.

A'ine almost burst out laughing settling for a smirk instead. 'Hummm... If I didn't know any better, I'd think he just called you beautiful.' A'ine sent to Ember stepping back just a little giving them a little space and blocking Ember's immediate exit to the mess hall.

Alderic nodded. "Okay.... Do you think I could do some of my stunts tonight? They look extra cool in the dark with stars." He said hefting the bags onto his shoulders as he walked out into the evening heading toward the main building.

Phinesa couldn't help it anymore and bent over laughing. "Eloquent... Dumplings?!" She said cracking up even more drawing eyes from the people sitting closest to them. She laughed until she ran out of air, her face still scrunched in laughter making little noise. She lifted her arms above her head drawing in deep breaths.

(Here I have some rainbow stuff! *Holds out colorful ducttape*)

Ember blushed, wondering if A'ine was right about what Mitch was saying. She looked up at Mitch, and then back to A'ine, and almost snorted when she realized she was blocking Ember's exit. "Alright then," Ember said softly, taking Mitch's elbow.

"I'd love to see them, and I'm sure the others would too!" Orion said. He had been wanting to see Alderic do an actual performance ever since he first saw his stunts. "Isn't it a new moon tonight too? The stars and your fire should stand out even more," Orion said.

Saffy's face of exasperation finally broke and she collapsed into a laughing fit too. "Yes.... dumplings... are ....very eloquent!" She gasped between burst of laughter. She finally collected herself, and snatched one of Phinesa's dumplings. "The symmetry, the pearly white on the outside, the brownish red on the inside," (here she broke the dumpling in half) "The smooth, sweet outside, and the thick savory inside! Dumplings are pure beauty and eloquence!" She stopped in her rant on the eloquence of dumplings to observe the halves of the dumpling in her hands. "Now, I just need a crown and a ball gown..."
