Ruby coughed.
"Okay to bed now." Reaper pushed Ruby in the dirrection of the house.
Ruby walked toward the house.

"I did my part. I admire your loyalty, but my answer is no. I have responsibility elsewhere." Knuckles told the cat. "My hand are tied. If I weren't balancing my duties as Guardian and trying to keep everyone else from getting killed, I would stay."

Stalked hiss and scratched Knuckles across the face, If something happens to my family I will hunt you down.
Reaper didn't make a move to stop her.

Knuckles looked shocked at this for the brief moment it happened, then his expression darkened. "My hands are tied." He coldly repeated, ignoring the pain caused by the crimson lines running across this left cheek and onto his muzzle. Heat pooled up in his stomach, as it tended to when he was sick or injured. He figured it was due to his bond with the Emerald, it's way of protecting him.

"Unless you can somehow make sure no thief goes after the Master, Ajal doesn't die on a hospital bed, and the others don't do something stupid, I can't stay. So go ahead! Call me selfish or threaten me all you want! Hunt me down! It changes nothing."

On the last sentence, his tone transformed entirely, and he sounded rather worried and desperate. "But I can't make you understand." He sighed, and glanced up at Reaper. "Thank you for you hospitality. I'll be showing myself out of your territory now." He said with a half growl, turning on his heel.

"We can protect Ajal and the others. I can go to Angel's Island to defend the emerald if you would like," Reaper offered, "I know how to get there."
Stalker soften and licked the wound while on Knuckles's shoulder, Sorry but last time one of our pack got sick Prince lost his sight.

Knuckles was about to shove the cat off and refuse, but something prevented him from doing so. Maybe he was touched by the consideration, or maybe he was exhausted from balancing the tasks. Either way, he nodded slowly. "...Okay. Okay. I'll stay, I'll trust you. But if anything happens to any of them, so help me." He gave, shoulders sagging slightly. Though he hated the idea of handing over the Master Emerald to somebody he hardly knew, he knew he didn't have another option. It was that or run the risk of Void getting the jump on him. He pulled away slightly from Stalker, however. "Cut that out, it stings." He grumbled.

Reaper held out his arms to Stalker who jumped into them, "I'll ask Fangs if I borrow it. You are coming with me okay Stalker."
Stalked nodded.
"Talk to Nightfall about repairing the sycthe and working with the ironwood." Reaper instructed before walking toward the house.

"Yeah, yeah." Knuckles growled, walking past him and shaking rainwater off his fur.

Reaper followed Knuckles and didn't bother shaking the rainwater off. Stalker walked with them. When they got to the house Cinder was wainting for them, "You're late."

"We had difficulties." Knuckles shortly replied.
