A'ine couldn't help but notice Ember had used past-tense when referring to her sister. She, also, caught Ember thinking 'shut-up' but nothing before it. A'ine thought for a bit not wanting to repeat what had happen with Jora. "Well, it sounds like you love your sister..." She said finally. "Maybe you should talk to Mitch about siblings, maybe he has a brother or something..." She added hoping to distract Ember.

Alderic sighed. "It wasn't your fault dude.... And I mean draw her from memory." He said hoping to get Orion caught up in drawing instead of thinking about how he might have messed up. "Or do you not have the skills for that?" He added jokingly as good measure as he flipped over onto one hand his feet touching the top of his head.

Phinesa smiled a little as the line moved again only three people ahead of them now. "I think I just thought of something...." She said tapping the tip of her curved horn with her finger.

"Maybe... Do you fight with your brother?" Ember asked, relieved that A'ine hadn't heard her thoughts, or if she had, she wasn't asking.

Orion grabbed the pillow by his head and lunged at Alderic, hitting him in the face with his pillow. "I have plenty of talent!" he said with pretend aloofness.

"And what would that be?" Saffy asked tilting her head, one eyebrow raised.

A'ine shrugged. "It's not really fighting if it's about wearing a coat is it?" She joked a little. "And I think that Mitch would be a good person to talk to about anything, he seems like he'd keep his calm and not judge you for whatever you tell him." She said rambling a little trying to fill the silence to keep it from getting awkward.

Alderic teetered and fell to where his feet were on the ground and he straightened. "Well, prove it!" He said trying to match Orion's tone as he sat beck down on his bed.


Phinesa seemed to come out of a different world. "Oh.. Sorry, random train of thought." She said rubbing her neck. "I was just thinking of how to get Saquia to be happy again."

Ember blushed and ducked her head. "No, I don't think he would judge...He's too nice for that," she said, glad her hair was hiding her blush.

"Maybe I will!" Orion yelled, sticking his nose in the air as he pulled out his sketchbook and began drawing from memory. His silly expression disappeared the second his pencil touched the paper, his face twisting in concentration.

Saffy tipped her head to the side. "I'd like to help," she said. "But you know her way better than I do, so I'm afraid I won't be much help," she added.

A'ine couldn't help but grin. "Struck a nerve did I?" She teased a little moving closer to Ember nudging her shoulder a little.

Alderic smiled smugly at Orion pleased with himself. He was glad that Orion had stopped thinking about all the stuff he thought he did to Jora.

Phinesa held her chin as she looked thoughtful. "Well, what I was thinking was the last time she was really happy was when she was around Roran... What if I found him for her?" She said her thoughts aloud as it was their turn to get food.

"N-no," Ember sputtered, trying to sound more convincing. She was blushing even harder now, and it stood out against her pale skin. She lunged for her book and pretended to read.

Orion finished the rough sketch in about seven minutes. When he had finished, he held it out to Alderic. It was a rough sketch of Jora sitting in her desk staring out the window, twirling her hair absent mindly.

"How far away from here does he live?" Saffy asked. (Sorry her's are so short!)

A'ine's grin grew. "Well, I think I did." She said smugly. After a little bit she added. "It's not like it's a bad thing to like him. He seems pretty cool." She said.

Alderic nodded. "There that wasn't hard." He said studying the drawing. "Trick question, Do you like Jora?" He asked grabbing the sketch book to get a better look of the drawing.

Phinesa shrugged. "It was a few years ago so I'm not sure... Maybe he's not even home... Maybe he's been looking for Saquia!" She yelled excitedly. "Dumplings and rice please." She said to the counter lady before looking back at Saffy. "Wouldn't that be cute!"

Ember sighed. "And why do you care?" she asked, trying to play it cool. She placed her book to the side, and opted for hiding behind her hair again.

Orion's eyes widened. "W-what?" he stuttered, taken by surprise. "Um... no! Maybe...yes?" he said, in an unusually high voice for him.

"Chow mein and sesame seed balls please!" Saffy said to the person behind the counter. She turned back to Phinesa. "Do you think he would mind that she's a monster?" she asked.

A'ine chuckled a little. "Well, you're my best friend, I believe it's in the job description to tease about crushes." She said shoving her again. 'You can stop trying to hide the blush. I can tell.' She mind spoke to Ember.

Alderic burst out laughing. "Well, I guess that's that." He said rubbing the back of his neck. He held the book out to Orion to give it back to him.

Phinesa didn't wait to be sitting down and started eating her food. She covered her mouth with her hand as she spoke to Saffy. "If he does he's an idiot. Saquia's great!" She said taking another bite. "And he knew that at least at one point."

Ember shoved A'ine back. "And who do you like?" she asked teasingly, trying to turn the attention off her. She smiled though when A'ine called her her best friend. She turned to look at A'ine, giving up on the idea of hiding her blush which was fading now.

"Yeah, I'm not one for secrets and I think I made it pretty obvious, didn't I?" Orion said, taking the book back as he smiled his typical sheepish grin.

Saffy sat down at an empty table by the window and began to eat. "Yeah, he would be pretty stupid. But at least he's had time to decide whether or not he still likes her. That might be good 'cause he might realize he still loves her!" Saffy said excitedly.
