"Not much longer, though. They have trackers, more than a few, that they send out to do as I did. I failed, and so was fired and punished."

"So what are we supposed to do?"

"They should run, run beyond the reaches of the lab. We...they have multiple locations and they work together, I know the locations and stations by heart. There are the few places they could go, but they are far. They'd be on the run for a long time, but they could make it." He said, but D didn't seem to like that idea.

Saph tilted her head. "W..wun? Bu... Kae." She said, hugging Kate best she could. "Nu weeve Kae!"

"Any other options?"

Saph nodded, agreeing with Kates' question.

Luke seemed to think but all he could say was "Hide. Just hide until they end up finding them."

D hid in her wings.

"Not like that." Luke scolded.

"Shut up! I'm not hiding like that, I'm just...upset!"

"You're always upset!"

"I was always in chains!" She barked back, both of them starting to raise their voices at one another.

Saph whimpered, trying to snuggle away from the loud noise the two made.

Kate held Saph a little tighter

Luke worked to a stand. "You shouldn't have attacked those people then!"

D hissed, poking her head from her wings. "Maybe, just may be, I didn't like to eat chem icals!"

"You didn't have a choice!"

"Maybe I wanted one!"

"No one said you got one, though!"

"Well, I made one! And I didn't like how they treated you!"

"I was of lower status, it's just how it was!"

"I didn't like it!"

"No one cares if you like it or not! You're nothing but a hybrid, a creature, a monster! You've already forced a normal person to have to be around you! And now you burden her with 4HD! No one wants you!"

D looked stricken, staring down.

"Get a life, or let yourself be taken back. You have no right to be out here, letting normal people see abominations like you!"

Saph started crying.

Kate got so mad. She got so mad. "Excuse you?! Who says that they're the abominations here?! And, for the record, the only burden here is you!"

"If I am, then I'll just leave." He growled.

Saph sobbed, tiny hands covering her face. "Nu figh...fwends!"

D didn't move, didn't speak. She then hid under the table.
