She picked Saph up.

She warbled happily, making Luke and D look over and their expressions relax.

She was relieved as they did

"I've never seen her so ... happy." Luke said softly.

D smiled softly, watching Kate and Saph.

Saph snuggled against Kate happily, tail wagging.

Kate made sure to keep a good hold on her, but not to hold her too tightly.

Luke sighed. "They'll come for them." He muttered, putting his head in his hands as he put his elbows to the table.

D heard him and stiffened.

Saph didn't pay his words any mind, because she didn't understand what he meant.

"What do you mean?" Kate asked

"The lab, my boss. He's aggressive about things, and..." He pointed to his burn marks. "They won't rest until these two are captured or dead."

D paled, looking sick.


Saph sniffled softly, becoming worried on what they where talking about.

"Or until he dies."

Luke shook his head, expression confused. "He's not very much older than me."

D seemed to be freaking out just at this topic.
