Finally, that broke Alister, and he stood up, " You know what we did last night? I stayed up with you comforting you because you were scared of the thunder. I thought maybe you cared for two seconds of your life, but I see all you think of me is that I was trying to corner you and take advantage of you. I wanted to help you, and all you thought was that I did something to you! " He shouted, anger booming in his voice.

She cowered slightly then stood, not making any eye contact whatsoever. She got some clothes and heade to the bathroom to take a shower. It all hit her--the memories from last night...he was telling the truth and she had assumed the worst. She undressed and turned the shower on, and got in. This shower was cold, though. After she had washed she turned it all the way cold and let the freezing water beat over her until her body was numb. And then she got out, feeling really guilty for everything

In that time Alister had changed into daytime clothing, and went out. He needed a walk to clear his head and he also needed to go back to the veterinary clinic.. in his wanting to be out of there, he forgot to leave a note.
