That's not how selling pets works. When they're up for sale, anyone can take them, and take as many as they like. If you want to dictate how many and to whom I would suggest posting in Giveaways.

So, when I created this thread, I saw other that other "free pets" threads here, so I though it was the correct place. I wasn't aware of the giveaway thread, I apologise.

By "ditacting" you mean warnings I gave some people? It was only for people took way too many pets at a time (10 pets or simmilar amounts). But yes, I was probably kinda harsh with some people with those warnings. But it was writen on my rules, there is no set amount because I wouldn't be able to control it anyway.

But, hm, what what are those rules? Because I only found specific rules for Auctioning, not giveways. And I have this thread for months and not a single penson came to me saing it was against the rules.

Said that, I apreciate the info but... Sorry but, that's was no reason for you to take all the current pets I had for free and release them, though.

I suggest you read the rules of each forum before you post in it - helps avoid any issues as there are a few technicalities on Sylestia that you might not find on other sites.

You use public sales completely at your own risk. You don't get a say in what people do with your pets afterwards. I was not even aware you had a thread until you pinged me to it to tell me what I can and can not do with advanced search and public sale.

I buy and release plenty of 1g-1000g pets as people who want to do Giveaways do them in direct-to-player sales and selling pets for so extraordinarily cheap does nothing but hurt the Sylestian economy. If you sell a pet of a specific kind for 1g, how can someone who's worked very hard on their project which happens to look like the pet you're selling try and get a decent price? Often unnecessarily cheap pets are bought up by newbies to the site who then realise they have 50 pets and no way to feed them, and make a thread trying to find a way to do so. It doesn't help to throw pets at them for nothing.

There is a whole debate to be found on this matter - you can find numerous posts and opinions in the Suggestions forum from people who are seeking a lower limit on pet prices to avoid this situation, but there will always be people who buy and release. The way to avoid this is to price pets at a reasonable cost and when helping people do it via direct-to-user sale rather than flooding advanced search.

You can of course do whatever you want with your pets and sell them for however much you please, but you can't stop people from buying them all and releasing them all. It's certainly not only me who makes an effort to preserve the economy.

Oh my, I had no idea, they could like those on the main rule page, it's important. Makes a lot of sense too.

So what can I do? Move this thread to Giveaways (not sure how it coulod help though)? Or not ping the players anymore (because of the motives on the link above)? Because I, unfortunally, not have time to keep making direct sales to players.
