You grudgingly open your eyes to see a girl standing over you. Once she notices you looking, she backs off.
"Really-it's not what it seems like-I wasn't one of those kids-oh, please don't be mad!" she blurts out.

She sucked in a breath. "One: Those kids were servants of the Shadow Realm's Leader. Two: You were not in the Shadow Realm, those kids were in the Earth, the Forbidden Place. Three: So that you're safe. For now at least."
