Alec blushed again and stumbled over a thank you. He scratched his head as he calmed down again, his eyes wandering back over to Gale. He was very much aware of how his age and how he aged could become a barrier in a relationship. But his mind and heart were at war with whether or not he even was crushing on this human. "Well, when I was a teenager, I always snuck out behind my mentor's back, dressed in normal clothes, and I went into town. No matter how I was punished when I got caught, I'd always go." He looked down, a little depressed. "The appreciation for magic has died, hasn't it?"

"I used to sneak out until I didn't have a place to sneak out of anymore." He said with a kind smile. "And people don't really believe in magic anymore unless it from a magicians. I honestly don't think people would even recognize a true mage if they were to see one. They don't even associate you with the lights I don't think."

Alec nodded thoughtfully in response. He rubbed his face before chuckling lightly with amusement. He turned to Gale. "No, they'd think I was a witch." He wiggled his fingers at the last word. Then he threw his head back and acted out a cackle. It sounded quite bone shilling, too. Then he stopped to grin at the other. "I swear... sometimes you humans are dense and narrow minded."

"Point is they don't have a face to put with the lights." Gale said. "So all you have to do is cover your ears and you will be fine." The man said with a wide smile. "If that's what worries you."

Alec stood up to check on the stew again, avoiding an answer at the moment. He had a small smile on his face as he looked at Gale while stirring the stew again. "Well, I'm not worried about those who haven't seen my face. It's those who have."

"And who would that be? I could take care of them if you want." He offered without batting an eye at it. "Or you could just change a bit of your appearance to throw them off. You would look amazing as a goth, heavy eyeliner and all." He chuckled a bit at this.

"I don't know their names. They're just bounty hunters or something." Alec gave a shrug before he looked at Gale. "I don't know about that. I don't really own any make up. I'm sure I can just put my hood up to hide my identity." He smiled lightly.

Bounty hunters...that wasn't any good. He would have to talk to the boys about that. "We could find something to use. But yeah the hood would work as well." The man smiled kindly. Just the thought of the man with eyeliner on...he wanted to see that!

Alec gently gripped his robes in fists. "It's terrifying knowing that people would take money just to spill my blood. I don't know how much longer I can dodge them." He stood up again to check on the stew yet again.
