Amber woke up with the beginning dawn, feeling a light pressure on her back. She twisted her head to see what it was, and was surprised to see Seliera, sleeping. She pulled away, shying from the wolfs touch, and realized she was standing. As long as Im careful, Ill be able to hunt. And run., she muttered. She slipped off before the pack woke and stopped her. As she fled the camp, she broke into a run, delightedly lolling her tongue out and feeling the light breeze through her fur. Then, she smelled something mouth watering. Rabbit! She crouched, sneaking up on it with well practiced ease. Then, pouncing, she pinned it and ended it quickly with a snap of its neck. She lowered her head to pick the prey up when she smelled a new scent. She knew she wasnt far from the border.. but, too far for the scent to be misplaced. Dog! She saw a she dog and crouched protectively over her kill, knowing with her not fully healed wounds she wouldnt win a fight. She growled to make her presence known.
Quick fact: Red wolves are the smallest type of wolf. Amber is also apprentice aged. Mix those with her showing ribs and healing wounds, and she looks helpless and will break any good wolf or dogs heart by the sight of her. But be warned, her bark may be horrid, but her bite is much, much worse.

Saeliera felt Amber get up, but decided to shadow her, letting Amber get out of the camp, but following her at a distance. Just as she was about to return to camp, satisfied that Amber was, in fact healthy, she smelled dog. She crouched low, waiting for the threat to show itself.

She tasted the air again, smelling now multiple scents. She ditched the rabbit and lunged toward the dog she saw, having the surprise advantage to aim for her throat, only to stop a few inches from the intruder. (Specifying Siria ) A ... wolf. A beautiful wolf that looked like her. The same blazing red fur. The same small but dangerous build. Her head went up, and her back fur lowered. This may be a pack wolf, by the disgusting pack scent, but it was her species. Her flesh and blood. She needed to enact her plan now, though. She dodged the wolf and threw herself into the clearing behind, landing on a surprised black and brown dog. (Specifying Nixie) She closed her teeth around the intruders jaws and her weight shoved the dog down. She didn't smell the other dog, lost in concentration of the one she held. ( The other dog is Safdar ) The divide of the territories may be only a couple yards from her, but the dog was still on the wrong side. An intruder. A blood enemy, between all wolves and all dogs. And Amber believed that could never change.

Saeliera padded closer, staying hidden and cursing her white fur, hoping it didn't give her away as she watched Amber, ready to jump in and help if push came to shove.

"Hey!" Nixie yelped, writhering under the snarling shape above her. "Get off me, you mangy worm!" Twisting, she clamped her jaws down hard on its - her? - snout, a growl rising deep in her throat through the pain. "Safdar!" She called. She could smell her attacker - a she-wolf. Kicking her away, she whirled and took a few steps back, lips drawn back and teeth bared in a snarl. "What was that about? You could have killed me!"

A sickening ripping sound echoed the clearing as Amber hit the ground. Her wound, though not completely re-opened, was bleeding again, badly. The scrawny pup sized wolf bared her teeth at the intruder. Have you had your garbage streaked snout hidden under a rock this whole time? We are at war, you know. The small red wolf, bleeding and starved, looked nothing like the strong, well fit pack wolves, like it couldn't hurt a butterfly, but the nasty marks on the dog proved she was as dangerous as any other. And she had a nasty bark, too. Get your mangy tail out of this territory, before I rip you apart. Amber snarled with a dead serious expression. She lowered her head and faked right, going left and grabbing a hold of the dogs shoulder, grinding her teeth into bone and flesh. Her back leg kicked out and slashed the dogs side, causing major damage as she leaped back away, her now blood stained teeth bared again. Her leg injury still dripped with blood, and her eyes began to slide out of focus from the blood loss, but she didn't show any sign of letting up.

Saeliera padded up, and, after surveying the scene, howled for more pack wolves. The two dogs were soon surrounded by wolves, albeit hidden wolves, and Saeliera stepped into the ring with the all authority and grace of a queen, saying, "You two dogs are coming with me. And so are you, Amber."

Amber flashed a challenging and hateful look at Saeliera, then her head went up and she let out a somewhat annoyed sigh. Careful what you wish for, Alpha. Amber said the wolfs title with loathing. She shouldered her way through the pack wolves, who regarded her with somewhat pitying looks. How she hated those looks. How she hated this pack. She struggled not to limp as she walked, feeling like she had lost the most important battle, fallen in the most important race. Her injured leg gave out, and she stumbled and nearly fell. A nice pack wolf reached out to help her, and was rewarded with a swipe to her face. Amber walked back to the camp with the others, to this pack she couldn't escape. As soon as her feet hit the camps dirt floor, she sulked back to the den she had left this morning, hastily snapping at a pack wolf that she be left alone. She then began cleaning her leg wound and the new one on her muzzle. This one will scar, but so will the one I gave that dog. She growled to herself with mild satisfaction. She continued to clean her wounds, daydreaming of sinking her teeth into that lying, evil alpha.

Saeliera lead the circle of wolves back to the camp, the two dogs still inside it. The wolves lead the two dogs to a den dug just for the purpose of holding prisoners, while Saeliera padded to the den Amber was in. She touched Amber's good flank with her muzzle, and said, "Even a pup should know better than to attack two adult dogs by herself."

Nixie heaved heavily, limping and wincing at the pain in her shoulder. Her attacker had been quite small and scrawny, but she could pack a lunch. ...Lunch? Punch. Nixie shook her head, following the wolves. She was hungry. But not hungry enough. She growled softly in her throat.
