The best way is exactly what you explained. The player who is receiving the gold sends a worthless item with a CoD fee. When you accept it, the other player receives the CoD.
The consolation amount was never announced until now, so I didn't know what to send an item for.

Yeah, I was still deciding on it. I was just pinging because while Itscyndirella had responded I figured everyone else ought to be pinged as well. ^^;
Sorry for the delay! And good to know, I'll keep this in mind for my future endeavors. :D (Although I am already falling out of my sylestia-streak, this is exactly why I held the raffle in the first place, knew it was gonna happen xD)
