"Uh-huh. Well then." Mirage nodded slowly. "Okay, so what about lunch? And I know well that we're not just here to discuss how terrible our days went. Why else are we here?"

"Maybe to develop a feeling of safety?"

Kaede sighed. "Fine. Whatever. Pizza's fine, and why do I need to watch my language? They need to grow up eventually," he explained. "And for toppings, I'd like arsenic, for everyone else here." Kaede said with a short, breathy laugh, though it lacked any humor.

Mirage blinked, the way the boy was reacting surprised her. Why is he so unwilling to try to make this conversation at least the slightest bit civil? She still was curious as to why this meeting had been called, and that man wasn't answering her questions, he was just avoiding them by asking foolish inquiries about their own days.

"Cheese it is then. Maybe they can be put all of the toppings on the side for us." He said before leaving then to call the parlor down the street. "I'm be right back, please behave." With that he left them, and instantly Darci panicked. She began breathing hard, tears stinging her eyes as she began to cry.

Thorn looked at the girl who started to cry.
"What a weakling," he muttered under his breath.
Thorn looked for a clock. How long was he here? A day? A week? A month?
Nope. 10 minutes. Great. He was already looking forward to killing himself because of all these morons he was surrounded by.
