Adam smirked at Josi, unable to hide his mirth.
"ancient civilizations certainly had a way of being innovative with what they had. Now, if someone's cellphone battery dies, they are completely useless." He went silent after that, not wanting to bother Ripley in case she needed to concentrate.

I follow a bit behind them, but just then Rex rubs against me, still holding the dragon fang.
"Hey fellows, what do you suppose this is?" I ask, showing them what Rex brought me.

Josi smiled, happy she could make someone else happy, and walked further into the cave,"What are we looking for in here?" She asked quietly.

Amber carefully crouched on the ground and ran her fingers along the intricate swirls that bordered what appeared to be a walkway "There should be some stands and lights in Winter's saddle bags. I think it looks like fang of some kind... Kind of what dragons would be depicted with, in medieval times. Did anyone bring evidence bags?"

"hate to be the bubble popper but it could very well likely be a sister lizard to the megaliana," Adam began, momentarily taking his eyes off of the wall, "the youngest fossil to date is roughly 40-50 000 years ago, which really isn't that long ago if we think about it. Humans would have been around then and would have encountered these beasts, mistaking it easily for a dragon."

"I think I have some in my bag..." Josi opened her bag, shuffling around in it,"Apparently I don't. Anyone else?" Josi shone her light around, looking for more,"What is that..?" She asked herself quietly as she walked towards a rock, picking up a rock with a swirly pattern that looks like it was made from water,"Was is there any water near here?"

"I have some acid free polyethylene zip block bags as well as some specialized gloves in my knapsack. One sec."
Adam put his flashlight between his legs and swung his bag around, working on the zippers, "Josi, was it? My hands are huge so yours will be swimming in them but I would rather you have gloves on so your skin cells don't contaminate a possible specimen."

"Yeah it's Josi." Josi took a pair of gloves out of her bag and put them on before picking up the rock and bringing it to the group,"This looks like water ran over this, but there is no water within like, 30 miles of here."

"Keep in mind these caves are a lot older than the civilization that currently resides here," Adam reminded her, relieved she put on gloves. He swung his bag back around, sliding his arms through the straps and picking up his flashlight so Ripley would be able to see again.

Amber shook her head "Boss had some teams go over the area with some ultrasound tech to get a general idea of the area and they found no evidence of water in or around the caves, although there might have been at some point." She walked further into the tunnel and jumped, nearly dropping her flashlight "Hey someone bring a flashlight, I found something else! And bring some brushes and gloves to!"
