I sit by the lake, just thinking. My paws lead me here for no particular reason, or at least not one I know of. As I sit my past comes back to me in small pieces, pieces I push away and hide. My past is in the past and it should stay that way.

I stop and sniff the air for Scarfangs sent. When I find it I follow the trail to the lake. I stop and watch and wait to see if he notices me.

Eclipse walks out of the water and shakes herself dry, sitting down next to ScarFang "i was born and raised in a circus... Forced to do tricks for the kids, and give rides out between shows... but then I fully matured and well gained my wings... That's when they abandoned me here, left me alone to fend for myself... That is why I created this pack... To allow all luporas who were abandoned or shunned to be apart of a pack where no one will judge, where they are safe..."

When I see Eclipse walk out of the lake and lay down beside Scarfang I jump up into the sky and fly and fly and I don't stop. A teardrop of magic falls through the sky.

A male lupora as black as night appears by her, the ice of his armor glowing black "Why is such a beautiful sylesti as you upset?"

I scream startled by the sudden appearance of this stranger.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I ask my eyes still wet from crying as I right myself in the sky so I don't fall.

he chuckles and steadies himself, his dragon wings keeping him in the sky "I just came to visit my sister, but heard someone crying and decided to investigate. My name is Plague, by the way. You should be happy, being named alpha and yet you are sad... May I ask why...?"

"How do you know that I'm alpha and the reason I'm sad is because I liked Scarfang but I just found out he likes Eclipse and she likes him back so now I'm alone yet agin it's not fair everyone else has someone but I don't I'm alone." I say anger noticeable through the tone of my voice but sadness also.

He lands on a tree branch and calmly folds his wings, watching her with his blood red eyes "I know this because I was the one who helped make the decision to name you alpha female, the first in the history of luporas. I saw a certain strength in you that I saw in no one else, a desire to lead, and a kindness that Scarfang does not hold. And you are not alone in the world, you have this pack, a new family, a chance to do something amazing..."

"But look around you there's no one else out here but me and you" I say using my wings to gesture around " just us out here in this big world unless you stay with me I will be alone agin."
