(A human definitely couldn't catch up with a fox... Grey foxes can run about 42 mph, and Wisteria didn't stop.)
Wisteria heard the cat shouting behind her, but ignored it. There! A tree she could climb. With another burst of speed Wisteria leaps up into the trunk and starts clawing her way up it.
