"I was born in Blueberry Valley, though I never spent much time there. We were a traveling sort me and my parents, that was until recently. I've been traveling alone for the past year looking for a nice single lady to spend the remainder of my days with though you see that has not gotten me anywhere." Marcurio sighed. Life had not been the easiest yet it was by far not the hardest either for the man. He was raised with good manners to be the best gentleman he could be. It was sure to win over someone.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find her," Anton said, chuckling and patting Marcurio on the back. "So are you going to travel with us then?" he asked Marcurio. Anton found himself strangely reluctant to be leaving town. Although the kids in the village hadn't been kind to him, his parents were despite the fact that he wasn't their biological son.Then he looked over at Ase, and down at his left hand, and his longing for adventure was renewed.

"Only if you'll have me of course. I think an adventure of this sort will do me good, with all the new faces, songs, that sort of stuff." Marcurio said with a smile. "I was never really welcomed here anyways, I think it may have had something to do with the fact I know magic. Some people get really jumpy around magics users."

"Tell me about it." Ase smiled. Her tail flicked as she recalled meeting the nicest old lady once only to nearly get her tail chopped off when the lady caught her using magic to light the fire. "I don't mind if you tag along, we could use an extra set of hands, and another weapon." A purr escaped her throat as she remembered what an amazing journey they had before them. "Anton are you sure you want to go about this?"

"I've never been more sure about anything in my life!" Anton said grinning. There was an excited spring in his step as he walked. He turned to Marcurio. "Join the 'Not Welcomed Here' Club. We accept new members on Mondays and Saturdays," he said with a smile.

"Then it looks like I'm in luck. I believe today is Monday." Marcurio gave a relived laugh. "Now that I am a part of this cheery little group may I be informed as to where we are headed?"

"We are headed to the Silverpeak mountains." Ase said, her tail flicking. "Legend has it that there is a whole city buried under the tallest mountain. Though there was also a part in the story about the treasure being guarded by a nasty serpent much like the one we just killed."

"A city you say? Well this should be interesting to say the least. Trust me though, that was only a young dragon. They are said to get much, much bigger." Marcurio gave a shutter as he recalled an old tale his parents used to tell him of a old frost drake that was said to have roamed the lands. He was as tall as the trees himself and everywhere he went snow would fall and bury everything in its path.

Anton's eyes widened. "Wait, you're saying that was a baby?! I can't wait to see an adult!" he exclaimed. "You guys can keep the gold. I want a pet dragon!" he said. He felt like running, but he knew he'd have to save his energy if they were walking all day.

"A pet?" Ase said a bit scared. "That doesn't seem like a very good idea..." Her tail flicked again this time in fear. "You say what that thing could do, do you really want that as a pet?"

"Some wizards have been known to keep dragons as pets but there is a reason they aren't around anymore." Marcurio said. "But if you want to take that chance I hear there are some spells that calm beasts like that."

"Wait, really? I was actually kind of joking. Besides, I have no magic," he said spreading his hands out wide. "Although, maybe I actually could....People always said I was as hard to manage as dragon," he said, remembering when he was younger and climbed everything, or experimented stolen potions. "After all, I did set things on fire more than once," he said, laughing sheepishly.

"That makes yet another thing we have in common." Marcurio smiled. "All my spells have to do with fire or lightning."

"I could teach you some of the basic spells. I'm no witch but I know how to start a magic fight." Ase giggled.

"Well, I may not be good at magic fights, or one-handed fights yet, but I'm freakin' awesome at mudball fights!" Anton exclaimed. "So, let's do an exchange, you guys teach magic and sword fighting, and I'll teach you the amazing skill of throwing mud at people," he said, laughing at himself.
