Mia just wanted to walk away again. She was sure by now her roommates would be in the dorm talking to eachother and wondering who the fourth would be. She felt that she owed him a little for fixing her picture. It couldn't have been as easy as he made it seem. "I'm not quiet sure. I think they were to tell us at breakfast or they have a board up somewhere that says it." She reached up and brushed her hair away from her face feeling that her blush was no longer there. Sheptha nodded approvingly Mia had a pretty face and shouldn't try to hide it. Just because she was the only one in her family with dark hair didn't mean she was less pretty. The goat looked up at Jack wondering what the monkey was doing.

Luffy smiled at her "your pretty when you don't try to hide your face" his smile got bigger until it was blocked by a guy hanging upside down on a rope that seemed to be attached to nothing "Rat I didn't know you were here" you could hear Luffy speak to the guy "yesss we just got here we thought we should come say hi" the guy said in a thick Spanish Caribbean accent "O Rat this is Mia she's my friend" Luffy motioned to Mia and Rat turned and looked at her he took her hand and kissed it "Hola cinurita" he said kissing her hand again Luffy rolled his eyes and shoved rat so he could see Mia "sorry about him he thinks he's a regular Casanova" Luffy gave an apologetic smile

Mia could feel her blush returning and tilted her head forward again so that her hair covered the blush. Sheptha bahed angrily at Rat. He didn't like this boy. His name was funny to boot. Mia nodded a hello to Rat. This was way too much for her. She was barely able to talk to Luffy when he was alone. She picked up her bag pretending not to have heard what Luffy had said about her being pretty. She didn't believe it in the least. "Bye Luffy, Enjoy the book." She said walking down the hall quickly again. Sheptha hung back a bit trying to listen to see if the boys would say anything.

Plague

Black Death

Rat stared after Mia Plague and Black Death came sprinting down the hall they jumped at Mia but Luffy grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into his chest the two rats charged down the hall and jumped at Luffy and Mia teeth bared there super sharp claws would have dug into Mia if Luffy hadn't turned just in time the two rats claws dug into his back Plague was far gentler than Black Death and didn't leave a scratch he jumped onto the road rat was hanging upside down on but Black Death's claws dug into Luffy's back making it bleed Jack pulled out his pistol and shot the rat it fell to the floor in a bloody heap before getting up and jumping on rat " you ok Luffy asked Mia still holding her close in case Black Death went off again he knew the rat was prone to wild mood swings and he wwouldn't let her be in danger

Mia was about to plet whoever touched her with her bag but saw the rats. Sheptha went running around a corner. He hated anything smaller with teeth and claws. Jack had teeth but he didn't have claws. He peared around the corner and shivered. Another reason he didn't like the boy. Mia's hands jump to her ears when Jack shoot at the rat. She dropped her bag once again. "Y-yes." She said blushing again. She realized just how close they were and tried slipping away from him. "Thank you." She said feeling guilty he had gotten hurt once again.

Luffy felt Mia try to leave his arms but he pulled her closer unwilling to take a chance Jack looked at Sheptha with disbelief then turned to black death and hissed at him the rat had crossed a line. Black Death hissed back and Jack jumped on the Rat scrapping with him and biteing him Jack's teeth grew to two sizes and his nails turned into sharp talon like claws his fur started to come off as he started to turn into more of a skeleton or zombie like creature the rat bit him and he threw it down the hall it hit a wall right by Sheptha jack jumped on the Rat ripping into murder in his eyes he looked at Sheptha and stopped slowly he started to return to normal

Mia watched in horror. Sheptha ran down the hall away from everyone bahing his fear. This was way too freaky for Mia. She elbowed Luffy in the ribs, hard enough to push him back and slipped through his arms running after Sheptha. Mia hoped that the other students weren't all like this. If possible she hoped they'd just leave her in her bubble, but, if not, she at least hoped that their companions wouldn't just attach each other out of the blue. She couldn't imagine what Sheptha would do to stop that rat if it attached him. She hated not knowing if one of them would attach her. Sure she was stronger then she looked but that didn't mean she could fight off a animal. She started panting a bit and turned a third, or was it fourth, corner. She leaned against the wall to catch her breath as Sheptha ran a little past her and came to a screeching halt.

Jack now back to normal jumped on Sheptha back he smiled at the goat Luffy's eyes glazed over as he focused on Mia and Sheptha a bloody gash appeared on his arm as he focused the gash went to the bone and started to necros but he ignored it the magic built up and he let it out in a burst no one but him and Jack would notice here now unless she wanted to be noticed Luffy focused on Mia as the pendant in her pocket started to glow a little "Mia are you ok" he asked his voice in her head "Rat won't bother you again I promise " he said a sound of regret in his voice

Mia jumped up and looked around. She didn't see Luffy. She saw that Jack had gotten on Sheptha and the goat still hadn't noticed. She wondered how she could hear him. She patted her pockets and just as she thought, the charm necklace was there. It must have some sort of spell on it. She had read about a speech spell somewhere and thought that it might be that. She walked over to Jack and Sheptha. She picked up the monkey carefully and put the necklace on his shirt where he couldn't reach it. She started walking again. She had no idea why Luffy seemed to care so much about if she was alright or not, they did't know a thing about the other. well she did know about the curse but that was different. Sheptha started following her again.

He listened to her and looked back at Nightmare who was staring at the girl as if he understood every word she said. His name of course had come up a few times which always drew his attention, but his stare hid some more intentions. He only broke the stare to glance over to Manfred who nodded reluctantly to allow Nightmare to be petted. "Just be careful. Nightmare can sense your feelings and feel your fear. If he finds anything he does not like even I cannot keep him from attacking." He was sort of surprised of himself that he was even speaking to this woman let alone letting her touch Nightmare and warning her of the possible outcome. Only one other person had touched Nightmare and the end result had not been pretty.
