Luckily another horse pulled Striker out of the way just in time and the kick missed him completely he turned ignoring the pulling on mane to start in on Hades again

Osera charged in kicking Hades square in the face but really she couldn't miss the other horses made it impossible for Hades to dodge the kick then she turned rounding on the horses that had a hold of her brothers mane and bit it in the but making it whinny in surprise and let go of her brother before turning back to Hades she prepared to hit him again

"Enough" a booming female voice comes from the great tree the voice of a leader, a protector, a scholar and a warrior her voice made everyone even Hades and Striker stop in there tracks it was the kind of voice none could defy

"We have gathered here in friendship and peace and should not fight" taking a softer tone

"Besides it is time for the counsel to choose the herds that will be departing i have all the names of horses who are not in a herd yet and now is the time for you to be placed please step forward"

Striker, Starlett, Osera and Orin were the first to step forward followed by Jezzabella and a few other horses who's name's you don't know

The old Mare Stands near to foot of the Great Tree long white Mane and tail flowing in the wind she looks at you expectantly but patiently

Hades bite his tounge from the kick. Before they were told to stop he bite into the mares side drawing blood. He huffs and turns away. "Don't think I will..."

Dizza turns to Sabeyin. "Thank you so much for taking the blow in stead you me." She smiles and nuzzles his neck.

Astly sighs seeing the tree, she's always loved that tree. But never dared to get too close, though she's always been without a herd she never stepped forward. but now that she's older she might need to step forward today...

Dizza, Sabeyin, Svet, and Hades step forward waiting for their new roles in the herd.

Astly slowly steps forward as well, she hated being pushed around, but it was getting hard to be alone all the time.

Beauty stepped forward carefully, cautiously. She felt an urge to step forward, though she wasn't sure of what to come.

Mizuki spat out all mane hairs, and shook himself briskly. With confident steps, he stepped forward, as if he had been waiting all day.

The white mare seeing that all had stepped forward looked at a few new horses and all of the new colt's and philly's and thought this will be difficult.

she jumped down from the Great Tree and walked down the line that had formed she turned her head to Osera seeing the blood dripping down her side and yet she didn't move didn't speak and then she could tell that Osera would one day become a great leader and mother.

"your hurt little one" she made it a statement and nothing else before gently bending down and nuzzling the wound which to the surprise of all healed.

She looked around "There are great things in this world great powers that we could never fully understand this tree is one of them and to fight like this before such power is unseemly"

She stops at Hades and looks at him with a stare of dispprovel she knew he had started the fight

"You little one she said staring strait into Hades soul need to learn that you can't start a fight with everyone because if you don't it will soon be your downfall"

she continued until she found Mizuki "thank you for trying to break up the fight you will have a very important place in the herd one day"

The white mare walked on until she found Astly "your mothering instincts and great love are going to be will put to use these young one's need your guidance i am glad you have finally decided to join a herd"

The white mare walked back to the great tree and stood up stretching to reach a low hanging branch and when the branch touched her forehead a horn grew

"Now it is time to choose" she first walked to Astly and lightly touched her forehead with the newly grown horn

"Astly you will be the leader of this new herd until such a time as you find one who you think can lead them better"

"Astly what will you call your herd"

Svet sighs. she was of a poorer horse family, and never was chosen to do the best of things. she slips way slowly, motioning for Hades to follow. He does willingly. once away she nuzzles him. "No one has to know of your child, not yet anyways." she touches her stomach. "i love you." Hades smiles then states "You will make a wonderful mother."

Sabeyin stands taller hoping to get a good roll in the herd. He had always hoped to be a guardian but had never gotten the chance to. Dizza stands by him, hoping that her knowledge would be put to use.

The white mare see's Hades leave with another mare she knew what it was about why he stayed so close to her and she feared for the mare and her unborn for she knew that it was up to Hades to change or the family wouldn't survive but she also knew that with the right choices Hades would do great things and that there child would be instrumental in saving this world
