I've also got a bunch in my hatchery, you can pick and choose which you would like an egg from, but you'd have to wait for them to grow up. :) Sadly I can't give you any offspring from the ones of I have right now (they're useful for advancing my project) but you can choose a pair or choose to wait for a 6 vis later. :)
