ahh I just want to say be nice to me this will be my first RP so yeah... (though if it makes you feel better I am a writer, ask Sol she has read some of my stuff...)

(also on a tiny note I just want to let you know that if this RP starts, ya know writing, before July begins I will be away for the whole second week of July.)


Sea Creatures Forum-
Name: Kora Calyps (yes her family takes their name from the Oceanid of Greek myth, Calypso)

When in daylight, her lumenescent red scales stop glowing, and her eyes are a fluid maroon.

Age: 22 (though just recently turned, from when the Rp begins)

Gender: Female

Species: She is a deep sea 'mermaid', though her family had over the centuries adapted to to the higher basin that the city seems to be set in.

Personality: Kora has always been a little shy around the other mermaids, mainly because she feels (and is) so different. Being from the depths of the sea, she was teased by the other merchildren because there were a lot of things she was innocent (ignorant) of. Although she was innocent, Kora has always been curious, often swimming from the boundaries of her family (which as you will read in the histories, got her in a bit of trouble). She loves to explore close to the surface and is fascinated by humans. If one were to get to know Kora they would find she is an honest, reliable and loving person, still very ignorant of such things as 'lies' and 'cruelty', but not so ignorant of pain.

History: Kora's family Ascended from the depths Centuries ago (when I say ascend I mean they learned to live in both depth and shallow waters, though most are born in the depths), back when the world was filled with more of what people call today mythology. Her ancestors got really close with a now extinct species, the Siren, and learned to mimic their voices, and in later years were mistakenly names sirens themselves. Now it is a special family trait that only a few possess. Kora, unfortunately, possess this trait and has in the past accidentally drawn a few people (mostly men) to their watery deaths. Because of this Kora is not fond of talking, although she is aware that the 'siren song' does not affect merpeople. before Kora was brought to the basin, she lived a very sheltered life with her mother and grandmother (who also had the Siren trait). Her father was a giant squid Tamer and left before she was born. She would sometimes visit him, but they are not close. Very recently her grandmother died, and she decided it was time for her to move from the shelter of her mother (her mother who had never really been a fan of the higher sea pressure returned to the depths.)

Job:"Breathing Pill" gatherer.

Other: When she was little she owned a (rather large) pet rock, this is because in the depth they did not have such odd (and large) materials, so she did not realise what it was. Her mother gave her a small squid to teach her about living creatures and inanimate objects. But she woke up one morning and the rock had squished the squid!!! she has never had a pet since.

Other other: If it was not obvious Kora has a lovely voice, especially when she sings. People are enchanted by it, to say the least. Though she hates the nickname 'Siren'.

Name: Xoe Bowen.

Gender: Female

Explanation: Being an entrepreneur, Xoe was able to pay for a seat for both herself and her brother Alec. This was meant to be an early birthday gift for Alec.

Personality: Xoe is a very cheerful girl and is constantly trying to help those less fortunate than herself. People used to express that when She walked into a room the atmosphere would brighten up. However, with her recent relationship problems she is a bit wary of men (So I decided to put her in a RP filled with predominantly males...).

History: Alec and Xoe grew up with their mother and father in a small home. Their parents worked hard to be able to pay for their education, however the two did not have many luxuries growing, not that this bothered them. Xoe worked hard at school and always obtained top grades in almost all subjects (the bane of her life, Biology). However Xoe was most fascinated with creating things to help her family out. As a miniature inventor of 15, Xoe entered a design, for a self adjusting belt, into a competition and not only won but got offers to manufacture her belt by the top belt manufacturer, Suede. At 17, Xoe had invented three more gadgets; and had been on the team that had created the first humanoid AI, but decided to go back to Suede to design more belts. At 18, Xoe had decided to split from Suede and created her own company, Tight!. After starting her own business, Xoe moved out of her parents home (her twin, Alec moved to collage only a month later) and bought a small two bedroom apartment in the city for herself and her, then, boyfriend. However, after a while the relationship hit a wall, Xoe was being physically abused by her boyfriend and he was starting to force her to break ties with her family. Alec, decided to intervene when she was sent to hospital with a broken arm and the police were called. Xoe got a restraining order against her ex and Alec decided to move in with her to keep her safe.

Family: Xoe is really close to her twin, an avid believer in the twin "thing", unlike Alec who doesn't believe in it, although seems to exhibit all the signs of the twin "thing". Their parents were always supportive of their every endevour, and when she was younger her father took her to meet a friend of his who helped create gadgets for the everyday 'Joe'. When Xoe became rich the first thing she did was pay off the mortgage of her parents home, and although they do not like her spending her money on "old fuddy duddy's" she has an account set saving for a retirement world cruise for them.

Crush: Make her fell comfortable enough to trust you?

Humans Forum-
Name: Alec Bowen.


Age: 20

Gender: Male.

Explanation: Alec was really excited when his sister handed him the tickets for the Submarine tour.

Personality: Alec is a huge flirt, and it would often get him in trouble with the ladies (more so the ladies boyfriends). He has always had a confident attitude, taking everything thrown at him. However he does have a tendency to bore easily. The one thing he is not is arrogant, being brought up with nothing gave him a clear grounding and he knows how to be courteous and respectful of others.

History: Alec and Xoe grew up with their mother and father in a small home. Their parents worked hard to be able to pay for their education, however the two did not have many luxuries growing up, not that this bothered them. Alec was a sharp boy, however he was never into schooling like his sister. He would often get in trouble at school for not paying attention in classes and his grades were definitely not par to his sisters. There were a few things in school that he liked, however. Alec was far better at biology than his sister, fascinated especially by aquatic studies. But his main reason for going to school was the Swim club. He maintained a high enough grade to stay on the team and in his second year took out his first (of many) regional titles for breast stroke and diving. Alec was able to get a scholarship to a collage for his swimming and is training to go to the next Olympics.

Family: Both Alec and Xoe moved out of their parents home after high school, and are currently living together. They visit their parents for dinner ever Wednesday, and are a really close family. Alec's mother was the one who encouraged him into swimming, worried that the fact that neither she nor their father was home most days (due to work). She gave Alec the option of Swimming school or an after school Care, to keep him off the streets and out of trouble. He took to water like a fish.

Crush: None yet. lol totes need some more older ladies around, Alec does not wana be hitting on teens.. I am sure his charms will still spin golden webs though...

Anything else you wanna add: If Alec were not working so hard on his swimming career he would have studied to be an oceanographer, in fact when his swim career is over he may still do this.



now for my idea. I thought wouldn't it be cool if the "pill" was something that was naturally grown in the sea.. like seaweed aha, but the humans never realised that that is what the seaweed could do. I thought the pill could really be the from beads (pneumatocyst) ofthe Brown algae. (especially because if you have ever popped one you would know they are pretty much big air bubbles :D)

I must add one thing for all to know, I am from NZ [If you do not know what or where that is look it up] and so sometimes my slang is misunderstood. If you have any problem with anything, not understanding the meaning or getting the reference, do not hesitate to pull me up on it. Had it happen the other week and never even realised that people did not understand what I was saying.

So go back and change that and she will be accepted. Thanks, also I like your new Oc, she is accepted. I have realized that all of your characters have been mermaids, but I changed things, so I hope you realize mermaids are mutts of the sea, seeing as they can't trace back what they are mixed with. That means they aren't a specific breed. XD So, yeah... I have a few mermaids... Also, your characters will be at the top of the main thread, if you need me to change something like their name or picture then just ping me to what you want me to change.

Coradrawa.... Woah O.O... When I went to look at the new pic I was like... WTF!!! Then I read the explanation of its species and it just blew my mind. Me and you, we're going to have to make him an important person of this thread. His Species idea is just... AMAZING! Although, I don't know if Claire is into the stalking kind.XD... But um your Oc... May Fly, maybe you could explain a little more about her History, because Sea Creatures can't breath air. Maybe you can say she was taking the pills that she was suppose to give to humans so that she could breath the air of humans for a little while? If not, you are going to have to change it completely because she can't be allowed to breath air... XD, Also, all you have to do is find the rest of the things to put in your other and finish your forums and they are all accepted. XD YAY!!! double also, we still need more human Oc's so maybe you can think about making some...

Willowdarimn, Wow.... I um... Your forum is spectacular. You go into so much detail and you made it look amazing. Now... What we seriously need to talk about is your idea of the Algae being the pill. It's a really cool idea because it would be easy for the Sea Creatures to get a hold of... I think I will put that idea up in the main thread as it being part of the Rp now. Thanks! XD... Also, your character is accepted, but now maybe, you can think about making a human? Also, no one really cares about your slang, we have people from all across the world in this Rp right now and plus... My family talks funny too... Anyways, you should be fine. XD

EVERYONE else, you're either still working on your forum or have already finished it. We still need more humans for this Rp to work, so if everyone could at least make one, then that would be greatly appreciated. They can be strangers if you would like...
