Micah shrugged. "I couldn't answer that anyway," he said breezily.

Ray hums and bites his lip, his fangs piercing his lip slightly as he does so. He doesn't seem to realize he's cutting his lip as he looks around. He is tempted to fly before reminding himself he can't even if he wants to. He decides to check for things that might match Janet's hair color. She had said that gave her away most of the time.
He spots a few places and looks there, spotting Janet pretty easily when he knew where to look. He grins, "Haha. Gotcha!" He scoops Janet up, careful of the plants, and pretends to gobble her up. He sets her down and smiles again. Janet was fun to play with.

Janet giggled and darted to Micah's side, hiding behind him and playfully sticking her tongue out at Ray. "Told you it always gives me away!" Micah laughed, ruffling her hair and smiling sweetly at Ray.

"Well I only found you because you said that. It gave me a clue for where to look." Ray laughs and smiles as well, his periwinkle eyes sparkling with mirth. "If you hadn't said anything about your hair giving you away, I would probably have never found you. You're a great hider!"
As he enjoys the company of his friends, he starts to purr. It started as short bursts, but it gradually turned into a continual purr. Ray puts his head in his hands, embarrassed for purring. Purring wasn't normal, it was another way to prove he was so different. "Sorry." It came out kind of choppy as he tried to speak around his purring. His tongue felt thick, heavy, and in the way when he tried to talk.

(Sorry for not asking sooner, but are you alright? Is life treating you well?)

(Eh. I guess. It's just school and family stuff. Since it's only a couple of weeks till winter break, all my teachers are going kinda test crazy and my parents really want me to get my grade up. And the family stuff is, ya know, kinda personal-)

Silvia and Janet both squealed, and Micah beamed. "That's adorable, don't apologize," he said with a laugh, going to Ray's side and hugging him. He rested his head against the crook of Ray's neck and listened to the purring, unable to stop smiling.

(Ah, yes, tests and schools. It's alright, you don't have to tell me anything personal. I wish you luck and hope you do well on your tests. ^^ I'll be cheering for you!)

Ray nods when Micah tells him not to apologize since speaking was out of commision. He smiles when Micah hugs him. Ray takes his hands down from his face and wrapped his arms around Micah in a hug and his good wing comes forward to join in the hugging. He tucks his head against Micha's neck. His purrs would sound louder to Micah, but that may just be because he's closer.
Austyn walks up to the group, chirping a hello. "Oh, who turned on the lawn mower?" He asks when he hears Ray's purring.
Ray laughs, grinning at Austyn, and his purring gets chopped up. "Good morning." Ray said while he could still talk, before his purring took over again.

(I MISSED MY SCIENCE TEST MY PARENTS ARE GONNA KILL MEEEEEEE-)

Micah waved at Austyn, sighing happily. Janet held back for a moment, squeaked a "hello!" at Austyn, then ran to join the hug. She wrapped her arms around Ray's waist, effectively ruining the moment, beaming up at them. Silvia laughed. "Hi, Austyn," she said through her laughter.

(What? OH NO! What made you miss the test (of course no need to answer this it's a rhetorical question)? I hope you survive!)

"Howdy." Austyn grins at his friends, eyeing the hug made group hug. He hesitates but a moment before joining the hug, hugging everyone he could at one time. He tried to pull Silvia into it as well. "Group hug!"
Ray freezes, his purrs stopping almost immediately when Austyn and Janet take him by surprise. He recovers soon enough, though his purring is finished for now, and he smiles at Janet and wraps his good wing around her in a hug. Ray's less sure about hugging Austyn, who's kind of crushing him in a hug. All's well that ends well, right?

(I overslept, but they haven't found out yet. I hope I survive too ;-;)

Silvia rolled her eyes and allowed herself to be pulled into the hug. Micah laughed, trying to squirm out of the hug. "You guys ruined the moment," he said in a tone of fake anger. Janet pouted, faking being upset, but the act quickly broke into uncontrollable giggling.

(I offer you all my protection. *rallies the guardian angels to keep you safe* And let's sprinkle in an army of purring dragons, yes? Yes. No one shall stay angry at you long. ^^)

Ray finds himself laughing along with Janet. He couldn't stay angry at any of his friends.
"It's only ruined if you decide it is. I think we just made the moment better with the group hug!" Austyn cackles, but releases his friends a minute after Silvia had been added to the hug. He beams at Micah and Ray. "Let's go get something to eat. I'm hungry."
Ray smiles and nods, taking his jacket tied around his waist and putting it on.
