The sound of the phone shrilled through the room again, and she nodded.

Flinching at the sound, Vex looked back at it. He took in a breath and seemed to show a calm outside, eyes blanking as he removed his glasses while taking the phone up. "Hello?" He asked to it, voice calm.

"Hello!" came a cheerful voice from the other side of the line. "I wanted to let you know that your car was ready!" It sounded like the mechanic, and there was nothing suspicious so far, but then again, could you really feel much through a telephone line?

You couldn't, so nor could Vex. But he'd learned to listen, he kept his cool even though the cheerful tone, as most, felt a little off. To him that is, but he gave a nod even though no one could really see it but Electa. "Thank you, Sir, for the notification."

"Mhm. When do you plan on being here?" If it was anyone but the mechanic, they kept up the act incredibly well.

"Time of arrival is uncertain on the specificalities." He said, seeming easy with the larger words. He could keep up an act, without risk of eye contact, fairly well as well.

"Okay, then! Just come whenever you're ready."

Electa was confused as to who Vexin was talking to

"Yes sir, thank you." He said, saying a good bye and then politely hanging up.

He let out a breath, shuddering once as he put his glasses back on. "It was the machanic, h-he wanted to let us kn-know the car is ready. H-he also asked when w-we where going to pick it up."

She stared at the digital clock. It was now ten twenty. "The other day he said it wouldn't be ready until noon, but...I think we'll have to take a chance." Electa moved suddenly, throwing her covers back and getting out of bed. "Keep out of sight while I get dressed, okay?"

He seemed nervous still but nodded. He wasn't sure how to stay out of sight in here with his size and all.
