Well, I'm glad at least some of us are willing to help, she snorted, shooting a glare at Loki.

"And you think I will? Just please accept because I'm not giving up until you do."

"That's not why Maverick," Desta answers, "Back there got me thinking of my family."

Loki shakes his head, Waste of time and energy.

"I can stay up with you," he offered. He knew he wasn't about to get any sleep either. He had learned how to block out emotions like hurt, especially when he thought of his parents.

Well, if she escapes and gets hurt, we're blaming it on you.

Fine by me but if she attracts a demon horse I blame you, Loki retorts.

"You need rest," Desta protests knowing she just needed some time to let the fresh wounds heal.

He shook his head. "I'm used to pulling all-nighters, there's really no need to worry about me," he argued back. "You, however, look like you could use some company."

He nodded. "I'm glad you can finally see that."

"And you also can't stop me when I have my mind set on something."

He nodded. "I understand, but that doesn't mean I won't try to stop you. It just depends on what you got your mind set on."

Victoria sighed loudly, rolling her eyes. "I'm going to bed," she announced, getting bored of the fight.
