" I can take care of myself !" He objected, not wanting to see Miko cry anymore or blame himself over it. He knew it would be as horrible to look at as ever and he didn't wanted to subject him to that sight. By now he was feeling the leftover scales over his wound peel off.

Miko put the bandages in Skaaul's talon before turning and walking away, tears streaming down his cheeks. He didn't like to see people hurt, it reminded him of... he never wanted that to happen again. He hurried out of Maganda's house and opened his wings, soaring into the air. He had seen many dragons hurt, that was fine, he could handle that, but his mate getting hurt, that hit him hard. He let himself go higher and higher in the air, needing a break from everything that was going on.

He stayed frozen in place in shock at Miko's reaction, unmoving as smoke started raising from the side of his jaw. He was casted asside one too many time in the past to know how to respond to this anymore.

Miko sighed letting himself glide on the breeze, he should not have ran, but it reminded him to much of a truamatic incident he had when he was younger, just apologize, he thoughts nagged him when he felt a talon touch his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, you just reminded me of something tha.." he trailed off as he turned around and saw it was not Skaaul, but Firecracker.

Maganda's voice broke him out of his trance and he rush outside to find Miko. When he did, he noticed they were not alone, causing his iner fire to flare up as smoke raised from between is scales.
