" Comforting you, what else would I be doing? " He said, his voice still the same. It was scary how unchanging it was.

"Good question," she muttered. She noticed she could hear his heartbeat. Either that or hers was so loud she could hear it as if it was right in her ears. Maybe both

" What did you think I was doing in the first place? " Alister asked curiously, looking at her with almost caring eyes.

"I dont know! I was just asking! People don't really hug me. Or touch me at all, for that matter." She said, tired of explaining things

Alister just nodded, but he didn't move nor let her go. " Well, my intentions are just to make you feel safe.. Nothing more, nothing less. "

Alister started to hum softly, attempting to keep her calm as the thunder sparked up again. He was trying to make her feel okay, he didn't know why the storm scared her but he'd rather not ask.
