Janet was laying on her back in the central green, staring intensely at seemingly nothing. You know, like eight-year-olds do. She looked over and sat up as Ray approached. "Hi!"

"Hi!" Ray says, looking around before returning his attention to her. "Silvia told me that you wanted to play hide and seek with Micah, but he's asleep. Or he was last time I saw him. So... I am here if you wanted to play with me, though I understand if you would rather not play with me."

Janet was on her feet instantly, beaming. "Do you wanna be the seeker or the hider first?"

"Whichever you don't want to be." Ray shrugs. He wasn't too picky on what he got as long as he got some role.

Janet responded immediately. "I'll be the Seeker! My hair makes it really hard to hide," she added, shrugging. "You have thirty secondsokaygo!" She spoke extra fast towards the end of her sentence, squeezing her eyes shut and turning away. "One," she started counting loudly. "Two..."

Ray laughs in understanding to Janet's statement of hair making it hard to hide. Though it wasn't hair but wings and horns for him. He looks around for a good hiding spot, wishing he knew this place better. He bites his lip and crouched down behind a bush, hoping he could hide here well enough.

Janet finished her count, then spun around, looking around quickly. "Ready or not, here I come!"
She took off towards the woods, assuming he would've gone to hide in the dense shrubbery.

Ray stays quiet, not sure where she gone and hoping she wouldn't get hurt. As he stays behind the bush, his thoughts went back to what Riley had said. It was Ray's fault the monsters were here. If Janet ran into one, then... Ray shakes his head and forces himself to focus on being quiet. He would leave soon. Before he endangered everyone.

Janet got to the edge of the woods and was about to run in to find Ray, but she quickly changed her mind and ran back towards the central green. She looked around, looking for any sign of him, and frowned when she saw nothing.

Ray taps his fingers on his knee and waits for Janet to find him, counting the time it took for her to find him. He was sure she would have caught him at this point. His good wing readjusts itself to come at rest in a more comfortable position for the moment.
