"As long as it's shiny, I'm sure they'd love it."

He nodded with a jocky half grin. "Thankfully I'm part multi wing,color changin' scales are shiny after removed from the dragon." He said,then turned to the base of his wing and carefully,tho wincing and holding his breath,began removing colored scales from his wing. Blood began coming from where he practically skinned it but the scales that where color changing turned a bright life like shimmering silver.

They all turn their gazes towards the scales, their black eyes glittering at the sight of the scales

He soon had enough to evenly destrebute to them and gave them a smooth smile,pulling his now bloodied wing tight to his side. "So,we need a bit of directions. How do you guys feel about helpin' us out?" He bounced a few of the scales carefully in his hand as their now silver surface shimmered softly. He seemed a little in pain from what he'd done to his wing but didn't seem to want to show just how much it hurt.But his freckle scales turned a pained maroon.

The packrats take the offering and they all cock their heads, wondering what the dragon wanted

"Could you guys tell us where we could find the Iron King?" He asked gently.

What seemed to be the lead gnome jabbered something, after taking the scale and putting it in his pile, and beckoned them to follow

Jason smiled to Ash. "Looks like we got a guide." He said,a faint tilt in his voice hinting that the maroon of his freckle scales,and the rest of his color changing scales,meant pain.

Ash nods. "Yup." They trailed the odd little creature through the wasteland of junk, drawing curious stares from the other residents living there. There were more of those ratlike creatures whose teeth rusted metal, a few scrawny dogs wandering about, and swarms of iron bugs crawling over everything. Once, in the distance, they could get a terrifying glimpse of another dragon, unfurling from a mound of trash. Thankfully, it only shifted into a more comfortable sleeping position and returned to its perfect disguise as a pile of debris.

At last, the mountains of garbage fell away, and the packrat pointed a long finger down a barren plain. Across a cracked, gray plateau, spiderwebbed with lava and millions of blinking lights, a railroad stretched away into the distance. Hulking machines, like enormous iron beetles, sat beside it, snorting steam. And silhouetted against a sky, a jagged black tower stabbed up from the earth, wreathed in smog and billowing smoke. Machina's fortress. Ash drew in a quiet breath. The packrats scuttled away with their scales chittering with joy.

Ash looked awful, his skin was ashen and there were shadows under his eyes and his hair was damp with sweat

Jason kept an eye out and noticed how Ash seemed stressed and tired. He wrapped his good wing around the Ice Prince gently,hoping to comfort him. He spun some ice shards into a smooth surfaced rose again,clicking his fangs once he was done. This one was very fragile looking but graceful and actually very pretty. He held it out to Ash,hoping that the ice would make him feel better.
