Knuckles leaned up against a watchtower and lowered his head slightly. "Not everyone likes him..." He muttered under his breath.

Tails smiled. "No hard feelings though,"

Amy smiled and looked so much happier than before.

I chuckled, "I know that Knuckles" I said with a smirk.

Rather then dignify Sonic's comment with a smart remark, Knuckles lightly punched the hedgehog's arm with a short "Shaddap,"

Tails shook his head and smiled.

I huffed and rubbed my arm, "Well now Launch Base is cleaned up except for metal pancakes." I said looking at the metal.

Amy chuckled sheepishly.

Knuckles rolled his eyes. "Ugh. Don't remind me," He groaned, deftly kicking one of said metal pancakes. To his surprise, it almost floated when he did so.

"Wow Amy. You hammered that pretty thin," Tails observed.

"...Huh." Knuckles grunted.

Amy shrugged, "I needed to let out some anger." she said with a sheepish smile.

I nodded, "Yeah, but now it'll be really easy to clean the place up." I said picking up a metal pancake, I lifted the metal easily.

"Y-you don't have to do that. Like I said, it's my fualt it's here to start with," Knuckles said quickly, instantly regreting it. Shoot. That sounded almost desprate. He thought in hindsight.

Amy frowned, "How was it your fault?" she asked, she didn't know that Eggman had built Launch Base.

I sighed, "Should I explain or should you?" I asked the echidna.

Knuckles grimaced and hesitated. "Fire away. You're better at this," he sighed.

I sighed, "Eggface tricked Knuckles into letting him watch the Master Emerald, he built Launch Base and when Knux found out Eggman ran away, but Launch Base basically crumbled." I said leaving out the part where Knux punched me in the face.
