You decide to investigate the menagerie. There's a small, old bed in the corner, and a cabinet near it. The only door was the one to the basement. You can safely assume that Enoch lives here, hence the strange smell. The walls were made out of rotting wood, and there were small holes in the wall from where termites had eaten away the wood. What do you wish to do?
