Lucent



I'd sigh. "I want to go, but your on the edge of giving birth, and i need to be here to help you, and no, i don't remember the dragon." I'd look at her. "If i go now, i would be putting you in danger..."

Storm
I blink, my big gray eyes full of care.
"You know, you are the sweetest predator I have ever met." I purr, wrapping my tail around his. "How about this. Once I am able to take care of the cubs on my own, you go on your journey. You can return when you have fulfilled your destiny." I add in a hint of playful sarcasm toward the end.

Lucent


I would smile, feeling her tail around me. "Alright...that's fine." I'd nuzzle into her neck, laying my head against it afterwards. "Well...i just might go to sleep." I'd yawn a bit, moving my head to the floor.

Storm
"Go for it." I yawn, plopping a paw over his neck as he does for me with his wing. Rain, thunder, lightning strikes, these wonderful noises are muffled against the walls of the den. I lay listening to them, never forgetting the days when I could harness the electricity, but loving the moon power all the same.

Lucent


Before i go to sleep, i wrap my wing around Storm, then lick her cheek. "I love you Storm." I'd say quietly, before closing my eyes and slowly falling asleep, drifting off to whatever dream i would have tonight.

Storm
"I love you too Lucent." I whisper, finding it ironic that my original electric power might have been such a counter to his moon power if we had been rivals from the start. And the thought of his dragon guide makes me curious, and worried. I know I have to trust that he will be alright.

Storm
I wake up suddenly, hadn't realized I had fallen asleep. I am really hungry for some reason so I slip from under Lucent's wing and tip toe back over to the deer carcass. I begin nomming on it's belly, and then feel a tickle in my own.

***fade to black***

I nuzzle each little cup on the top of their head, seeing as they all have a crescent mark on their foreheads. Lucent, Lucent come here. I lick the cubs who haven't even opened their eyes yet. They can barely snuggle into my fluffy fur.

Lucent


I'd slowly wake up, hearing storm's voice. "Mmff...yeah?" I'd look over at her and smile, seeing the cubs. "Heh, sneaky little things, coming to the world while I'm asleep." I'd trot over and sit next to her, admiring the little cubs. "They are cute...i do see that they have your crescent marks." I'd chuckle, looking at each one separately.

Storm
"And look at those little bulges by their shoulders? I bet you a rabbit they will grow into wings!" I mew, making sure each of my little ones is licked till their fur is completely fluffed. Thunder claps loudly in the sky, causing one of the cubpups to whimper. I lean down to nuzzle it gently, bringing it closer to me. "There there little one..." I whisper.

I'd sigh, looking at them. "If they do grow into wings, i'll teach them how to fly." I'd say, before sighing. "I just hope they don't go through as much suffering as we did to get strong..." I'd say, my face darkening a little. "I'll make sure that won't happen." I'd say, confidently.
