He nodded, one hand gently stroking one of Puck's. "Just ... I wasn't sure where you where, I was worried." it wasn't a lie, he had been worried. Until he'd had to try and keep from bursting into flames and burning everything around him or end up trying to kill Ash. He would have only for two reasons. One, Ash had caused him a lot of anger in the past that had still been locked up in him. Two, he would have been the closest victim.

Puck only scoffed "Please. You have no reason to worry. I'm pretty sneaky, if I do say so," he said, his chest puffing up just a little.

He smiled, nodding and playfully ruffling Puck's hair.

He took that as a compliment. A non-verbal compliment.

It technically was. Those hazel eyes looked up at him in an adoring way, with love and admiration.

Puck's smile had turned into a smirk

The guilty gray in his freckles had died away, joyful yellow dancing in them once again of many shades. He liked that smirk, he didn't know fully why but it just seemed right the way it worked with Puck.

Maybe that was because the smirk came with the ego?

Maybe, he wasn't sure but he liked it anyway. He leaned his head on Puck's shoulder, sighing happily.
