"Not your fault." Selkie shrugged.

The echidna inclined his head. "Alright," He said, standing up. Locke stepped up onto deck and greeted the two with a nod.

Selkie nodded back.

Douglas led him to the makeshift garden.

The echidna followed him down. "So, the plants can survive on the ship. How do they get sunlight?"

Locke leaned against the mast. "How're ye, Laddie?"

"Fine." Selkie spoke while working.


"Some of these plants don't need much sunlight and that is the reason I have you down here. To help me get the plants on deck so they can get sunlight." Douglas picked up a potted plant, "And to repot these plants. Don't grab the mushrooms they don't need any more light this week."

"Fine?" Locke repeated. "Tha's not very specific, mate."

Kaladin nodded on understanding. "Seems simple enough."

Huston ran by accidently stepping on Selkie.
"I'm fine really." Selkie managed.

"Good then let's get to work." Douglas carried a pot up on the deck.

Kaladin simply followed Douglas' lead.

"Really." Locke mumbled. "Alrighty then."

Selkie went back to work feeling a little guilty about lying to Locke.

Douglas put the pot on the deck in a place that had quiet a bit of sunlight.

The collie shrugged and looked out over the water, though his ears stayed trained in Selkie's direction.

Kaladin placed the plant he was carrying beside the one Douglas had set down, then went to retrieve another.
