Puck was sprawled out on the couch across from her, one arm still flung over his eyes, his torso wrapped in a squirrel blanket.

It was dark in Twiggss home; the fireflies or whatever they were had stopped blinking and were now clinging to the walls, apparently asleep. The only light came from a flickering orange glow outside the window. Maybe Twiggs had the porch light on or something.

That glow was actually candlelight, and above it, a face was peering into the room from outside. The blue eyes turned to her, and a face she knew all too well backed away into the night.

Ethan.

'Ethan!' She thought to herself, not wanting to wake Puck up.
She quickly got up and headed towards the door.

Puck snorted and shifted under his mound of furs, but remained asleep.

Amelia looked back, then sighed softly of relief.
'Ill be back soon...' She promised herself.
She then opened up the door.

Darkness greeted her, but up ahead, there was a flickering orange glow bouncing along, getting steadily farther away.

Let's hope curiosity doesn't kill the cat lol

Amelia closed the door quietly, then followed the light.
'Stop moving...' She thought to herself.

Not yet, no.


She could see him up ahead, a small figure making his way through the trees, holding a candle out before him.

Lol right.

"Ethan?" She called out his name quietly, not wanting to wake up anything around her.

Then he stopped and looked back over his shoulder, smiling.

"Ethan?" She called his name again, coming closer to him, she then noticed his smile.
'Why is he smiling?' She asked herself.
