"Ah, you've come to have your fortune told?"
Name:
"No?" The male stares at you quizzically, but before you can explain yourself, it seems as if a light bulb went off in his head. "Ah, yes... I saw your coming. Forgive me, but not always are my readings as clear as pure water. What is it you wish to ask, then?"
The gentle smile he bears makes you feel at ease in this new, strange place. It's welcoming, and calms your uneasiness, making you feel at home in his abode. Thus you begin your questioning with little trouble, your nerves calmed by the general atmosphere present in his house.
"My name? Kyomei Reia, but many call me Uriel. Some call me 'Rei' as well. Do take note though, my last name is Kyomei, while my first is Reia."
Age:
"17." A tea set is placed before you as Reia takes his seat. "Please, help yourself." You mutter your thanks as you reach for a orientally designed cup. The taste is mild, but it is refreshing, and you finish the glass. Just as you are about to place it down, it is refilled again by the ever-smiling teen. You nearly regret asking the nest question.
Gender:
"Male...?" He blinks, confusion dancing in his eyes. You wait for the question as to why you'd ask such a thing, but it never comes. Instead, when you look up again, you see his curious gaze on you.
Appearance:
"You're sketching...? Mmmff." His sleeve muffles his giggles, and it's not long before he lowers his arm, apologising for his behaviour. Yet, you shake your head, indicating that he has not offended you in any way. Relieved, he motions for you to ask the next question.
Class:
"A Seer." A smirk so brief flashed across his lips that it leaves you wondering if it was a trick of the eyes. But you note it down, as you had been taught to do. Glancing at your note, you nod to yourself. You were done. Getting up, you bow, bidding him farewell as you stride to the door, only to have him reach it before and open it. Smiling, you thank him, and wish him a good day. He, does the same, and with smiles on your faces, you wave each other goodbye.
Personality:
A kind and loving individual, Reia acts as an elder brother to most, despite being the younger of the twins. He's nearly always cheerful, which explains the soft smile present on his lips throughout the day. While he generally keeps a calm demeanour in most situations, threatening his loved ones, be they friend or family, will result in him getting rather annoyed.
Despite his feminine build and features, he can fight, and is agile, thought not as strong as his twin. Protective and loyal, Reia is a good friend to have. Though he may be a passive person, someone who prefers to stay in the background, he will take up an active role is need be. The same holds true for fighting - Reia doesn't like conflict, but if need be he will fight.
Reia is a person who would keep his nose in his books all day if he could, or be outside enjoying nature. He's an introvert, and shies away from crowds and noisy places. But due to how his brother is, he's getting used to it. He can also be quiet mistrusting of others due to his past, and tends to hide his feelings under his smile, with the exceptions being his family. He is somewhat emotionally unstable.
While he is generally a serene person, he has his 'darker' moments, where he tends to be a sadist. His family has gotten used to this part of him, but it's keeping this part away form others that he and his family finds the hardest. Still, this part of him is rarely seen by outsiders to the family, and he keeps this under wraps as much as he can. That's why, he's sometimes secretive.
Interests:
Music, singing, reading, writing, drawing... he has many interests, including gardening. Since he does many household things, stuff like cooking or baking became hobbies as well. Though in general, he prefers his artistic hobbies to the rest.
Background:
Born just seconds after his older brother, Kaen and Reia were the first twins born to the Kyomei family in a long time. However, Reia was a sickly child, and his family worried for him. It was no wonder why it came as a relief to them when Reia stopped falling sick.
Yet, not every family member liked Reia. His uncles, aunts, cousins... they detested him - questioned why his parents didn't just leave him to die and kept on doing what they could to ensure his survival. He was so weak, a disgrace to their family who had been breeding climbers for decades.
His parents' answer was simple enough: He was their son, and they felt that there was something special about him. However, his extended family felt otherwise, and for his early years, he was mistreated by them. It was only when they found out he was the seer that they changed their minds about him, and this led to his mistrusting nature. It took a while, but eventually, his family changed that.
When he was younger, he was kept in his room for he was often sick - food would be delivered to him and he rarely left his room. However, he was content to watch his brother from his window, often fantasising about what it would be like outside.
When that time came after a period of complete healthiness, he was delighted. But his happiness was cut short, when his cousins started to bully him. It was at this age that he developed his sadist side, taking his anger out on helpless little animals. Once again it was up to his family to change this.
They attempt was successful, somewhat... He still practiced his morbid hobby, but only when he was extremely bored or when he was having a rough day. At least, he had it under control enough to look after his own animal companion, Fubuki.
Reia found Fubuki as a pup, injured. Having learnt first aid from his mother, Reia took her in, and since then she's been living with the family, reluctant to leave him. When he became the seer, she helped him with chores and such, and has become one of his many pillars of support.
When he grew into his teenage years, he became the seer, and has since became a little more reclusive, spending more time in his new abode than at home. However, his brother followed him, so he has a roommate. He's not complaining though, for he love his brother, just as much as Kaen loves him.
_____________________________________________
"Yo! Did you come here to find my bro?"
Name:
"No?" You see the resemblance in way he stares at you, having almost the exact same gaze as Reia when he asked you the same thing. "Oh. You want to know my name..." He blinks, but his confusion is nearly immediately replaced by a dazzling smile. "It's Kyomei Kaen!"
His voice is loud, ringing across the glade. You start to see the difference between him and his brother - but is there really? "Oh yeah, some people call me Elijah or Micah, so call me whatevs. I don't really mind." You nod, and are about to ask the next question when he suddenly snaps his fingers, exclaiming, "Ah right! I'm not sure if Reia told you already, but Kyomei is our last name - we tend to introduce ourselves by last then first name."
Age:
"The same as Reia. You know, we're twins - he's just seconds later than me." Twins, but with such different personalities, it almost seemed impossible. One was outgoing, the other quiet as a mouse. Would their reactions to the next question be different as well?
Gender:
"Pfft, bwahahaha!" You hadn't expected him to react the way he did, but with what you've experienced till now, should it have come as a surprise? You shake you head, finding yourself joining in on the laughter. "I'm a male, kid." His smile falters as a red hue dusts his cheeks. "Y-you don't need any proof, right?!"
He seems almost panicked when he asks that, and you're sure your reply was the same. He's relieved though, and that cheeky grin of his returns - you take that as an indication to continue your questioning.
Appearance:
Class:
"I'm a climber." He shrugs, saying it as if it was the most normal thing in the world. A climber? You should have guessed, considering how much he differs form his brother. Thanking him, you leave - you're done for today and you can't wait to get home. You bid him farewell with smile and a wave, and the twins return it, their pets by their sides.
Personality:
He's definitely more outgoing than his brother, more energetic, more brash, loud... but there are parallels between him and his brother. While not often, Kaen can be as calm as his brother, so much so it's nearly unnerving. He's compassionate as well, and is highly protective of Reia. He's just as loyal as his younger brother, and shares his aggression towards those who threaten their friends and family.
He may be seen as childish and immature, but he hides his true feelings under his smile - much like his twin. In truth, they had impacted each other a lot more than they thought, with Reia gaining Kaen's protectiveness and Kaen gaining Reia's sadistic side. There are other impacts they had on each other, of course, and there are some that even the twins themselves don't realise.
Besides similarities, there are differences, and one of them is their different approach to things. Kaen tends to be lighthearted, rarely taking things seriously... well, most of the time He knows when to be serious, but there are times that even in such situations, he's nervous to the point he acts like an idiot.
More often than not however, he's sort of like Reia's follower, taking after his younger brother when it's usually supposed to be the other way around. In many aspects he's himself, but at the same time, he's also like Reia. And the thing is, despite being a climber, he doesn't want to leave - he just wants to be by Reia's side.
Interests:
Sparring, practicing, running - anything sporty. He does like reading and music, as once again, he shares many things in common with his brother. Though, he prefers more outdoor things than his brother does. However... sewing and some other artsy things became a hobby, due to him making things for his brother.
Background:
Born just seconds earlier than his brother, he and Reia were the first twins born to the Kyomei family in a long time. Since birth, he was always stronger, faster, than Reia, but he didn't rub it in. He'd look after his brother whenever possible, managing to convince his parents to let him into his twin's room despite the risk of himself falling sick.
While he was liked by his uncles and aunts, his cousins teased and bullied him for having a brother like Reia. It was what caused the animosity between him and his cousins, but also what caused Reia to admire and respect his older brother.
A few months into the bullying, Kaen had enough, and the once verbal fights broke out into punches and kicks, and Kaen won. Bruised, injured, but alive. He was scolded yes, but his family had to admit - he was brave enough to stand up for his bro. This was the start for the twins' tight relationship with each other.
During his early years, Kaen both trained and played, and he would bring back toys for his younger bro, be it handmade or bought. Once Reia was healthy enough to head out, Kaen taught him music alongside their mother, and Reia enjoyed it. And that was when Kaen decided that he would do his best to make his brother smile.
Ever since then, Kaen spent his time trying to make his brother happy, and decided that he should train his twin. It took a while, but Reia could soon protect himself. However there was a period in his life where the two were separated, when Reia became the seer and when Ken went to further his training.
When the two met up again, Kaen had found himself Shiranui, a wolf he became friends with during his training. Unsurprisingly, Fubuki and Shiranui got along quickly and easily, soon forming a strong bond just like the brothers.
The wolves were smart, each picking up human traits and at the same time developing their powers. They started to learning writing, and Shiranui perfected her telepathy, while increasing her verbal human skills. Fubuki on the other hand relied on Shiranui and her own writing skills to converse with the twins. This fostered a bond between the wolves that was as unbreakable as the twins.
After learning that his brother would be living elsewhere, Kaen bunked in with Reia, and they expanded their place together, building a place where they could express their sadistic nature - that somehow the wolves managed to stomach. Since then though, the twins have been living together, and Kaen has been reluctant to leave his twin.
Cove.
