She still wasn't sure but didn't get pushy, she just finished up her own omelet and then got up to wash her dish. She liked to wash, it was fun to feel the bubbles and soap and soapy bubbly water.

Kate didn't want to have D wash her dish but didn't want to refuse, either, thinking that she might hurt D if she did

She tries to be understanding, she used to try and be understanding at the lab as well. Though, that had been a difficult task. But if Kate felt bad then D would feel really bad as well.
