She clearly felt bad as well as she tried to calm the tiny one, she kept whimpering for Luke no matter what D tried. She wished that she could help but Sapphire wanted to snuggle against Luke and soon woke a bit. She sniffled, rubbing her little eyes.

Well she was probably proven wrong when D wince as she burst into tears. The older hybrid tried to hold the tiny girl close but she sobbed softly. But her volume was increasing.

The child didn't stop, she kept sobbing and trying to say that Luke had left her just like so many other specimens. Although it hadn't been their fault that they had succumbed to their horrid treatment.

D rocked the girl, but only got tear stains on her chest. Sapphire kept sobbing for Luke until she had no tears to cry left ... then it was dry crying, mostly gurgling sounds and cries that turned to little screams. D's ears where probably having a bad day right now, she had great hearing so it didn't help right now.
