Jack noticed and gently patted Rays hand. He then took off his own satchel and took out a pair of extra clothes and a cloth that he used to clean his sword on his waist. He offered the satchel to Ray. "You need it more than me." It looked like it had been used a long time, but in good shape to still be used.

"What? No, I couldn't take it. It's yours... Oh, come on, Ray, your a bloody thief! and yet you hesitate when someone actually offers it to you?! You are so..." Ray sighs in frustration at themself before smiling bashfully at Jack and takes the satchel, offering Jack their back in exchange.

Jack wanted nothing in exchange, he said. "This is what's called a gift." He explained playfully.

"A gift..." Ray says, "Even in the courts of the Palace, there's no such thing as a free thing. People expect things of you."

Jack's smile faded. "... I'm not like other people."

Ray winced and nods in response, looking like they wanted to say something but was unsure what to say. They took their darts from the table, whirling around when they heard someone approach the door. They place themself between Jack and the door, ready to use their darts to take down whoever was coming.

Jack's hand right away fell to his sword automatically.

The door crashed open, falling to the floor when it it as kicked open. "Ray? You there?" The woman demands, looking around once before spotting the one she was looking for.
Ray blinks in surprise, their guard dropping for a moment. "Lilith? Long time no see." They chirp, lowering their darts slightly.
Lilith snorts in amusement, putting her hands on her hips. "Puh-lease. We saw each other last night." Her black eyes slid over to look at Jack, "Oh, is that the cute guard you were talking about?"
Ray takes a step back, an uncontrollable smile on their face. "Why are you smiling? Ray, stop smiling!" Ray demands, shaking their head. They changed the subject, "Did anyone follow you?"
Lilith shakes her head and explains, "No, not me. But Robin will be here in a few moments with a group of guards. You know how he is. If he's successful in catching you, would you be able to escape?"
"No, I don't think so. I'm not up to the task since the last time I attempted something..." Ray lets the sentence trail off since they knew Lilith understood what they were talking about. They twirl the dart between their fingers nervously.
"Come on, Ray, I'm sure you'll be fine. You've done it before easily. We'll split the bounty three ways." Lilith promises.

Jack clearly was confused, but as he heard bounty he looked at Ray with confusion.

Ray shakes their head, "Lilith, no. I'm not going to risk getting caught. I won't be able to escape." Lilith frowns.
"Ray..." Lilith was interrupted by Ray.
"Come on, Jack, we're going." Ray says, taking Jack's hand and walking past Lilith. Lilith makes no move to stop them, though she seems like she wants to.
