She then hugged his neck with a little sigh. "Can help if wants. Not alone. Not anymore." She may have been uncomfortable around him but she'd try to make things right between Jason and Ash if she could.

He may not be alone, but it sure felt like it. Especially now, with Jason and Puck doing what lovers do, right in the middle of this whole situation. He didn't have any family left, not like they were much of a family before, anyway. "Thanks," he mumbled.

She gently let him go and jumped off his shoulder, shifting to her slightly larger size before turning and sitting right besides him on her hunches. "Of course. Friends do that."

He nodded. Some friend he was.

Poor guy. Well, maybe he could practice being a better friend. Maybe not soon during this crazy time but sometime. And Fatespeaker seemed to honestly want to help. She stayed right besides him, putting a talon over one of his hands as an offer to make him feel better. She'd wanted him to understand, but that didn't mean she wanted him to be sad and hurt.

Well, that was one heck of a guilt trip she had given him. And yes. He definitely needed to practice being a good friend.

It sure had been. Must've been a bad blow. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do in order to move toward an end goal. And Fatespeaker could help him with being a good friend.

But that's the thing. He didn't want to be friend-zoned! He wanted to be more than a friend!
